I used BTR Roofing twice to replace blown-off shingles on the roof of my home. Twice the BTR roofers used shingles (different colors/styles) that didn't look like a good match, but the BTR roofers insisted their shingles were the closest match available. \r
\r
Months later, some more shingles came down, and I called a different roofing company. As soon as the roofer saw my house, he knew two things: 1) the right shingles (same manufacturer, same style) had not been used; 2) the right shingles WERE available ? at Lowe?s. Two other roofing companies confirmed this.\r
\r
I called Bill, the owner of BTR, explained the history ? including that other roofers had told me what could/should be used as replacements ? and asked that he send somebody out to do the job properly. I offered him a bundle of shingles (more than enough to do the job) I had purchased at Lowe?s if he would provide the labor. No deal. I then offered to pay $100 toward the labor. Still no deal.\r
\r
Bottom line ? after I had spent $675 (including some other repair work) with BTR, Bill would admit no fault in his roofers making a poor choice, twice, in selection of the shingles, showed no interest in doing the job correctly, and offered no compromise or agreement. \r
\r
Another company handled the job within 24 hours, and it took the roofers less than one hour. (Guess who gets my business when my whole roof finally needs replacing?)\r
\r
Does BTR sound like it has the kind of service and customer care you're seeking?
Pros: None, as long as there are other companies who will do the job right
Cons: See review; overall, company was sluggish in responding to calls/messages
