My wedding band had 3 rows of diamonds across the top, and I always wanted an engagement ring to go with it. So for our 50th wedding anniversary my husband gave me an engagement ring. It was a marquise cut diamond with 4 baguette diamonds on each side and four small round diamonds on each side of the baguettes. I thought my set of rings was so pretty. So I had them attached together. That made them a little tighter getting them on and off, and over time putting pressure with twisting taking them on and off the wedding band broke. I wrapped my rings in a kleenex in case the broken band would cause some diamonds to become loose and so I wouldn't lose them. I and other members of my family had done business with Brooks Fine Jewelry, so I took my rings there to be repaired. I was told they could fix them the next Friday. So I wrapped them back up in the kleenex and put them in my purse. The next week I could not find them. I thought surely I didn't throw the kleenex with my rings in the trash. I finally decided to go outside and empty our trash barrel where we burn our trash and after 30 minutes of digging in the charred trash I found them. They were black and covered with burnt ash. The diamonds were black and the gold was black and burned. I cried. So I put them in a little box and I took them back to Brooks Fine Jewelry. I walked in and asked the young man if he remembered me coming in with the broken ring. He said he sure did. So I opened the box and showed him my black burnt rings and said, "Can you fix them?" After I explained what happened, they checked them and said they thought the diamonds were ok, and they would see what they could do. Two weeks later I got them back and I could not believe it. They looked as new as if they had never been worn. I am convinced the jeweler at Brooks Fine Jewelry can work miracles. I've learned something from this. A kleenex is something to use on your nose, not to wrap your jewelry in. more

I was referred to Brooks Fine Jewelry by Dayer Jewelers last summer when I wanted a customer piece done and was surprised to find out that Brooks was the only jeweler in Conway who actually did the custom work right here. While in the store, I fell in love with the slide bracelets and the possibilities they brought. Particularly with my heirloom jewelry which was just sitting in my jewelry box at home. Jeff was able to make slides out of the first good ring my mother gave to me as a child, my father's fraternity pin, and an old birthstone and diamond ring which had deteriorated, even the top of my old class ring which I dearly loved but never wore any longer due to the fact the I always wear my wedding ring and anniversary rings that my husband has given me. The slide bracelet Brooks has made for me is not only beautiful – it holds great meaning to me, tells a beautiful store and I get to show off all my meaningful jewelry once again. more
