Please note (from the owners)- there are a number of fake negative reviews posted here and on other websites by 1 delusional person using many fake names. It turns out the person did not even have a valid contract as they signed that with a fake name also to hide their very serious criminal record in the state.\r Rather than believe the lies of a convicted mentally unstable felon, please be sensible and just ask for references- thank you. more

We hired this company in 2010 for application development on an e-commerce site.\r The result was beautiful on the user side and a joy to work with on the administrator end. It helped take our online presence to the next level and I am truly grateful. more

Atrocious!!!\r \r I hired these guys to create an e-commerce site. Everything was going great, they got paid in full and were working on the site. Granted they were way, way late, but they were working on it.\r \r Right when we were about to go live, I am told that I owe them money. This was a surprise to me since they got paid in full per the contract. So I asked about it. They sent me an invoice where they created things on the site I never approved. So I asked about it. II got a very pissy email back. I even went back through my 400+ emails back and forth and nowhere did I request the strange changes.\r \r They were also off on their ETA by about 5 months. They kept stringing me along. Maybe because I am a woman?!!!??!?!\r \r Anyway, the site never went live because they are keeping it hostage. I asked them to NOT access the server, and as soon as I did, they went in and changed things. Now, they claim they did not touch the site. Whether it was BOP that accessed it or their contractors, I don't know, but someone did because it is no longer working.\r \r When I questioned them about the site not working, I was told it was their site because I did not pay for it. Ummm... what? I have the checks to prove they cashed the funds in full.\r Then they turned around and said they have nothing to do with it because it's not their site, it's mine. Ummm... what? They just said they were not giving me any server access information because I did not pay for the site.\r \r They also lied along the way and told me things were completed that were not, such as the emails for the site. Never set up, except for one.\r \r BOP doesn't know which side of their mouth their lies are coming out of. \r \r RUN don't walk from them. Food for thought: I am not the only client of their they have done this to. They held another site hostage for more money. Surprisingly the other client was also a woman. See a pattern here? more

Valuable assistance! 4/23/2011

Well I was starting a new business and was kinda lost in terms of branding and so forth. I spent some time talking to Ally at this company and he was clearly familiar with my situation on a general level- i.e. he'd seen it before and knew what road to take. Sure it took a while but eventually I was in receipt of an entire brand and identity- biz cards, logo, website, they did it all, and did it well. Sweet as bro! more

took a friend's recommendation 4/13/2011

I needed some new biz cards and a logo and wasn't sure where to turn. A friend had done business with these folks and said they were awesome. I worked with a designer called Sarah who got me a great and professional look for my business. Couldn't be happier and am talking to them about doing me a website here soon. more

incredible web design! 3/10/2011

I have used Big Orange Planet's services on several occasions, over the last 7 years.. They have built me 2 websites, several flash banners, and have completed numerous graphic pieces.\r \r Their service has always been excellent, and their knowledge of their field is vast.\r \r As Denver web and graphic design companies go, I would definitely look no further than Big Orange Planet.\r more

Our website experience 3/9/2011

We hired Big Orange Planet to build us a content managed website with lots of bells and whistles. Overall it was a great experience. Delivery was on time and on budget. The class of the site is evident- both at the public level but also at our back end interface. We recommend this company to anyone. Cheers- Joe and team more

Not a good experience for my large custom project. 11/23/2009

I didn't have good exper.w/BOP. My site was admittedly LARGER, but they were paid $$ to review & make sure could do it. I'd submitted 35+pg.of reqs. Complimented my thoroughness. Delayed start. Design & programming delays often. Asked about common anysite features such as sign in 6 ms. into (w/Contractual 3 mo. deadline passed. Said I should accept no matter how long it took). Updates scarce, via email&actual work completed. Design degraded over time. Also used a logo character I was not legally able to use (required later to pay over $2k to original artist for its use). Site had bugs(normal for any large site in devel.), however,1 change would result in more issues. Pointing out troubles, company suggested I was being trivial ( Generic gifs started being used, some images became grainy, others with ugly choppy outline. Not consistent. Elements didn't match in color or design on many pages. Some pages had nice pop up windows, while others were the plain windows, well, windows. Functional items on the site, not chosen would show, items chosen may not show, pics & words would spread terribly across page. Tons more visual & functional wrong or missing. Not only was it not custom, it didn't work as a basic site should. It was completely unuseable). Months late,I was told they didn't have time to work on the project (&w/o apology or regret) yet they wouldn't deliver the project. ""as is"" so I could move on to another co. (they wanted final payment). At 1 point, they said site was completed (when it still had obvious visual&funct. troubles-they'd clearly not looked at the site. ). but other times it was impossible or they'd never understood it all along. Yet, they'd requir'd& accepted a 2nd payment. I refused 2pay 3rd, final payment. I'm NOT upset they could not do the site. Am dissatisfied they overbooked or couldn't actually do it and did not admit it ,TURN it DOWN, or let me know as soon as they realized ASAP in attempt to respect my time, my project, my money,/n allow me to go w/another co. They missed meetings wasting my time without courtesy (we'll not make it) notes, accepted over $10k, were unapologetic, and increasingly rude. Even got angry when I communicated with the programmers directly. At the end, they said that if I took them to court and won, I wouldn't get anything from them. I received the incomplete/broken site delivered - a 3 month project - 13 months later. No new companies would touch, being so problematic. Their site sayse they don't do questionable code, drop standards, or produce average work. However, that was not true for me in my experience. They may do decent work, but I would research, perhaps Google, Facebook, etc. before you make a final decision. Pros: Small informational sites seem smooth, nice design. Cons: For me, they weren't able to do project, and weren't upfront more
