Great Product-Great Customer Service 5/28/2010

We have recently purchased a dining room table custom built and stain matched by an Amish community that Bilt-Rite Furniture works with. The table was delivered in perfect condition. We couldn't be more pleased with the high quality of craftsmanship that went into making this beautiful, solid, well built, table. After a little tweeking the stain match turned out perfect! Maureen was wonderful in suggesting a table style to coordinate with our other furnishings and spent much time talking about the quality and care that went into the making of the amish furniture. She reassured us that we wouldn't be disappointed with the end product and we certainly were not! Even though it was custom made, it was still delivered in a reasonable time frame and also priced reasonably for getting exactly what we were looking for! more

BILT RITE IS BILT WRONG!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE 4/29/2010

This will be the first and last time I will ever buy a product from Bilt Rite Furniture!! I purchased a dining room table and chairs which I absolutely loved when I saw it on the floor. Amazingly, Bilt Rite said they could deliver the set within two weeks! That sounded wonderful! Unfortunately, when I got my table, it was broken! The delivery men told me to keep the furniture and call the store. In doing so, I got on the phone with the manager Maureen, who all but told me it was ok if the table had imperfections in it, being "mass produced and all." She further told me she was just very busy and had personal matters to worry about, therefore it would not be possible to take a look at my furniture for several more weeks. I immediately got the feeling I was bothering her and didn't feel that she was going to help me. Per her suggestion, I ended up e-mailing her pictures of the broken table the very next day.. I would not recommend going to Bilt Rite. Customer service does not exist. I would rather go to any other store (since any other store would treat people with respect).\r \r I also find it amusing that one of the family members keeps reviewing the store positively.... more

crappy furnitre 4/18/2010

We bought a livingroom furniture and a kitchen set a little over two years ago. The service we received was fine but the quality of the furniture is terrible. A kitchen chair is already broken. The table is wobbly. The couch and love seat are falling apart as well. It is pure crap. We will never go to Bilt-Rite again. more

Great Service and Quality Furniture at Bilt Rite 4/14/2010

BiltRite is my new favorite place to shop. I wanted a new dining set, and saw the ads saying they carried Amish furniture. Several of my friends recommended them, and said they had been shopping there for years. Now I know why. I received great service and got an unbelievably beautiful high quality set. The store was very busy, but the first salesperson I talked to said they had a specialist who had even visited the factory, and they called over Maureen the store manager. She was favulous. She spent a long time with me the first time I came in explaining the furniture, different types of wood and all of the options available, and told me wonderful stories about the Amish and her experiences there. Then I brought back my husband when the store was again very busy with a special sale, but Maureen still had time to explain everything to him. Biltrite Rocks! 4/6/2010

I was shopping for a recliner and visited three stores - Colders, Steinhafel's and Biltirite. The price differences for the same recliner were amazing - Colders = $1,400, Steinhafel's = $950, Biltrite = $750!!!!! No wonder Colder's offers that half back gimmick - they mark their prices up to cover themselves.\r \r Not only was the price at Biltirite noticably better than the other stores, but the service was outstanding. The Biltrite sales lady (Randy?) was very knowledgeable about the merchandise - she explained the plusses and minuses of many of what seemed like hundreds of recliners they had in stock. On the other hand, the salespeople at Colder's and Steinhafel's were pushy and were not helpful.\r \r Don't was your time with the other guys - for the best prices and good service, head to Biltrite!! more

WHAT A SCAM 3/27/2010

I BOUGHT A TABLE THAT WAS NOT IN STOCK AND WAS ORDERED. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE TWO WEEKS IT TOOK LONGER BECAUSE IT WAS BEING SHIPPED FROM OUT OF TOWN. THEY WOULD NOT RETURN MY MONEY SO READ THE FINE PRINT.\r I WAS DUMB ENOUGH TO TAKE MY MOTHER THERE, SHE TOO ORDERED A TABLE AND IT TOOK A MONTH SAME RESULTS NO COMPENSATION FOR THE INCONVENIENCE ALL EXCUSES YOU CAN IMAGINE. Never again from Built Rite 2/24/2010

I ll never go back here myself we bouth a mattress there last year and have had nothing but problems with it. Its s sealy so we though it was a good buy but ended up not to be. The salesman said it will hold its form for being a pillow topper and he was wrong even after owning it for a month my wife and I already noticed indetions on the mattress so we called them to see if they offer a 30-90 day sleep deal and was told no and then was pretty much told to fight it out with sealy. My whole thing is the saleman was not trained write and did not know what he was talking about. We were lokking for a firm mattress and he gave us this whole line about the pillow topper with the foam comfornt levels and the innerspring count is supperior to all others. Turned out to be a lie so here my wife and I have a year old king mattress stored on the basement as he brought back our old serta that is a lot mor conforntable. more

BILT RITE HAS GREAT AMISH FURNITURE 10/23/2009

I LOVE THIS STORE. I BOUGHT THE FURNITURE OF MY DREAMS. I HAD SEEN A BEAUTIFUL DINING ROOM SET AT TADYSCH FURNITURE ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO FOR MORE THAN $10,000. I FOUND THE SAME SET AT BILTRITE FOR LESS THAN $5,000, RECEIVED MY SPECIAL ORDER IN FOUR WEEKS AND HAVE THREE YEARS TO PAY! MY SALESPERSON MAUREEN WAS A FAMILY MEMBER WHO HAD EVEN BEEN TO THE FACTORY AND WAS SO FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND FULL OF ENTHUSIASM AND MADE IT REALLY FUN TO MAKE MY PURCHASE. Not sure how happy I am yet, but I'm turning red! 4/25/2009

We have yet to receive our items purchased from Built Rite. We decided to stop in there after shopping Boston Store for items we were looking for specifically, vendors and sku's in hand. The item at Boston store was 1400 compared to Built Rites 799. No guess work there it was obvious we should save the money in mark ups. We went in to see if they had it on the floor, which they did not. Regardless we knew we were waiting for our tax refund before we would order. The sales guy got demanding when he heard that saying we should "do it now." "save 10%" then I told him, no we have to wait, so he proceeds to tell us..."What? You can't put ten down now? It will help you save later, unless you have bottomless pockets you should do it, it's only 10%." I'd have walked out and never returned if it wasn't such a great deal. We then came back to order a week later. The salesman wasn't there we were dealing with but as soon as another helped us he was "bothered" by us being there by the way he acted more

BEST FURNITURE STORE ANYWHERE!!! 11/12/2008

My family has shopped at Biltrite as long as I remember, and now that I have my own home and have shopped at all of the other stores, I understand why. They had really nice quality furniture at great prices. They had styles I did not see anywhere else in a very easy to shop store. There are not a lot of fancy displays, and accessories for sale. Just great furniture. Other stores told me there was no furniture made in America, and at Biltrite I saw American flags to designate that furniture is made in America on most of the items. The store even smelled great like fresh wood. Salesperson was nice and very knowledgeable and not push. Delivery men were spectacular..careful, respectful of my home and nice. I love this store as much as my grandparents and parents did. Same family has owned and run the store for 80 years. We should all support such a great local business that supports American factories. more

Furniture was okay. Service was Bad 11/5/2008

I decided to go to Bilt-Rite for the first time. I stopped through when going home from work. The store is well kept, and the people are friendly... however, i felt a little pressured by the sales staff and immediately put money down on an item that interested me. I was asked when i wanted to take delivery of the item, and i stated i could probably pick it up the next day. well... a couple things came up that i did not have planned, so i immediately called Bilt-Rite's service department to explain that i might not get down there that night, and if i could not, i would definately be there the following day. Then the person I spoke to was rude about me not picking up the set THAT DAY. I told her it was something that came up and I could not help it. The tone and rudeness almost made me go back immediately that night and demand my money back. Anyway, i got all my things caught up and ran down to Bilt-Rite to pick up my furniture the day i was originally scheduled. It wasn't suprising tha more

The staff is very helpful. We purchased a few items from them which we picked up ourselves. I like to look around with out having someone there all the time. I would have to say they stick pretty close to you. They do know their products well. more

Good Service 9/11/2007

We purchased two captains beds and nightstands and a sleigh bed. All items arrived in a timely fashion on the delivery date and were set up for us. A couple days later I noticed the finish on the sleigh bed had been damaged. I called the company and although they wouldn't replace the bed frame they did send a specialist to the house to repair the finish. he did a fine job and if you didn't know where the damage was you couldn't find the area. more
