Ultimately, BH Home Expo misrepresented what they sold to us and then lied about it, and that reflects horribly on their reputation.
We had a complete gut renovation of both our kitchen and bathroom. We choose everything from floor to backsplash, cabinet, countertops, fixture, etc. Marianna, (the owner?), sold us on the advantages of a Caesarstone countertop when we initially wanted to go with granite. We decided to go with “Organic White” Caesartone to go with dark cabinets.
The whole renovation took a little more than a month. It went mostly with out incidents (so we thought).
When I accidentally chipped my Caesarstone countertop and called Caesarstone to have it fixed (which they would have done). That is when they told me they have not worked with “The BlueStone”, (who worked with BH Home Expo and supplied my countertop) since 2009 due to questionable practices. When I presented Marianna with this disturbing fact, she told me she did NOT sell me a Caesarstone. She said she sold me a quartz countertop that was “like” Caesarstone. Marianna presented us with ONLY Caesarstone, at no point did she mention she was not supplying with anything but a Caesarstone. Our contract is also explicitly written “ Caesarstone countertop #4600”.
This means one thing: If BH Home Expo have been supplying their Caesarstone countertops exclusively through “The BlueStone”, none of their customers have received what they were promised since 2009.
To this day, we have not been told what kind of countertop we have, and there has been no apology or admission. What kind of business misrepresents what they sell you, then bold face lies when presented with evidence to the contrary?
This whole situation could have been avoided if BH Home Expo apologized and at least attempted to resolve this issue. I think it’s unforgivable for a business to act this unprofessionally.
