I would not recommend this school if you value your educational future -- and your financial future. And I do not believe the other reviews I have read here either that are glowing positives as I have heard nothing but complaints from nearly every student there and the reviews here seem awfully generic. This school is in major financial duress and makes promises they cannot keep to their students just to get a dollar. They charge random rates to people, they beg for money from their students in the name of ""investing"" and they have their employees hold their checks for weeks at the time because they don't have sufficient funds to pay them. Students have the wrong books, uniforms that are paid for are not getting bought, items needed are not available, equipment is old and outdated, checks are written that have insufficient funds. Again, if I knew what I knew now, things would be very different for me. I feel like one day I will show up and the doors will be locked because they closed the school and everyone -- and I mean, EVERYONE will be out a lot of money. Also, they are not accredited, nor will they be any time soon and they have a hefty fine through OSHA for failing to follow standards. It may be the only institution offering medical assisting and other similar fields in the area, but please, drive the extra few miles to Atlanta. Your future is worth it. They may advertise as a ""school"", but I assure you, they are anything but. This is the most bootleg excuse for a school I have ever seen in my life. I would love to stand in front of the school all day with a big beware sign in my hands. BUYER BEWARE. more

I will never recommend anyone to go here. At first , Sylvia seemed to be a very nice person. THe class was supposed to start on Sept 9, 2013 and then there was no teacher to start the phlebotomy course. So they said the class will start the next MOnday. I showed up for the class and they had me to sit in a EMT to classroom just to waste time. Then the next day she called me to say that class would not be on Tuesday, and they are looking for a teacher. Well THIS WENT ON FOR WEEK AFTER WEEK. ITS January NOW. ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO SHE CALLED ME TO COME PICK UP A CHECK ON A FRIDAY AND TO SAY TO ME DONT CASH IT UNTIL MONDAY, SO I WAITED, ON MONDAY OF COURSE THE FUNDS WAS NOT AVAILABLE. NOW ITS JANUARY AND WE STILL HAVENT GOT THE MONEY AND I haven't gotten rude or cursed her out yet. IM REALLY TRYIN TO BE NICE, BUT WHAT BUSINESS DOESNT HAVE THE MONEY TO REFUND THEIR POTENTIAL STUDENTS. THIS IS HELL OF CRAZY. SHE HAS BEEN GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND SINCE SEPTEMBER 2013. I PLAN TO GO SEE HER IN PERSON AGAIN THE LAST TIME ON JANUARY 13 MONDAY. AGAIN DONT GO HERE. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO NO ONE . THEY NEED TO BE SUED.\r more

The teachers are great they will help you in any way possibe. I have made some life long friends here at MHCI including the staff. Most of them will be near and dear to my heart for the rest of my life.\r more

I do not think there is a better, more specialized school for business administration. I think the highly trained faculty really prepares you for a career. \r more

Sure, I had some issues with a few teachers. But for the most part I've not had any issues that the awesome student services department or adviser could not handle. more

My experience with this so called ""INSTITUTE"" was absolutely HORRIBLE! From the front desk (which happens to be their daughter who has the nastiest attitude) to the Lawson's who happens to be husband and wife. They don't know how to run a school! DO NOT ATTEND HERE! I REPEAT, DO NOT ATTEND HERE! They will lie, overcharge you, they aren't reliable nor professional on any avenue! The people that are leaving these positive ratings I'm sure are them or their daughter who sits at the computer all day with nothing to do leaving these ratings. I was owed money after not being able to attend the class...the application fee was kept which was understandable but a WHOLE month later AFTER constant contact with the Lawson's I was informed by a collection agency that I owed them $680.00!!!!!!!! $680 for a class I never started???????????????????? How is that so??? I repeat please don't go here! They will charge you what they want according to their personal bills and are so money hungry!!!! Exactly why I didn't have a good feeling in going in the first place! They will run you around if they owe you money as well! I will LET EVERYONE I KNOW DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! They helped me through some classes that were very hard. They care about their students. I have read some reviews and it is obvious that after attendiong myself, the negative comments are ridiculous. Good school more

I really enjoy going to McDonough Health Careers Institute. The instructors and staff are very professional. If you are interested in the field of nursing, this is the school to attend. more

I went to the McDonough Health Careers and graduated in 2012. I was the top of my class with an A average and a 100% attendance record.\r \r The teachers are excellent.\r \r The courses teach you everything you need to know to pass your certification tests. more

I am graduating McDonough Health Careers Institute in Georgia. I feel that overall the school and education provided was wonderful. The teachers were very helpful including some student. Report cards was passed out every mid-term so you can keep track of how you are doing. I personally feel that the staff go far out of there way to make sure you are successful.\r more
