Blues, Beer, BBQ.. Heaven 10/13/2009

I go in this place Bi-weekly, I am in the area at dinnertime and don't make it home for Din-Din so I stop off here. I get there fairly early and once your food is ordered and promptly served with great portions and like I love it Dry. I put on the sauce on the side and enjoy, drinking my tea. and OH no more tea.... Dudes I'm dyin' out in the dining room and I would appreciate a refill once in a while. I do understand that they are busy preppin' for Thursday Blues and all, Will it prevent me from returning.... UH NO! great food, Hot fresh and Great sausage, Good Grief I gotta go there now. Pros: Great servings, Great food Cons: Service could be a tad more attentive more

A Must Stop for Blues Fans 11/17/2008

You must absolutely go here if you are a fan of the blues. On weekends or days before the live music starts you can listen to the all-blues jukebox which contains classics as well as many well-loved local bands. Pros: Great value, great live music always Cons: You'll have to go out of your way but if you are a true blues fanatic, it's worth the trip. more

BB's has been around along time and has some of the finest jazz and smoking good BBQ you can get in Kansas City. We are talking Live Jazz from some of the areas finest musicians. You gotta try the brisket. more

Great food with portions mere humans can not completely consume. Live entertainment that really says what Kansas City is all about. The only draw back is the place is too small to handle the crowds it deserves. Pros: reasonable prices, great ambience, friendly atmosphere Cons: too small facility, poor acoustics, needs band elevated more

Dead Blues Guys 5/21/2002

This IS Kansas City! The blues tradition, the bbq tradition, the hole in the wall club atmosphere! If you don't get to BB's you can never say that you have experienced the roots of Kansas City. The place is closed on Monday and Tuesday and raises the roof the rest of the time. Thursdays the slabs are on sale and JohnPauls Flying Circus runs a jam. Clean your fingers good before you step up to the mic. Great regional and national acts on Fri and Sat. Pros: Parking, Music, Food Cons: Small room, Long waits more
