They won't do the work unless your vehicle needs it.||[]My Subaru Legacy was due for it's 15,000 mile maintenance service and I had received a quote from my local franchised lube, oil, filter shop, of between $300 and $400 depending on a bunch of options I didn't understand, and including several parts and fluids being changed. I couldn't afford that so...I just didn't do it. ||[]When I was 2,000 miles past my oil change due date and well over 15,000 miles. I noticed a new shop on 1st Street and decided to have them do my oil change. I explained that I couldn't afford and therefore didn't want the full 15K service, just the regular LOF. ||[]The mechanic came out and explained that the 15K was basically an LOF, Tire Rotate, and checking and/or inspecting (not changing unless necesary) several parts and fluids. He explained that his first impression was of a well-cared-for vehicle and he didn't expect to find anything needing changing or replacing.||[]He was right! It didn't even cost $100!||[]The truth can save you money.||[]Upon rotating my tires the mechanic noticed one of my tires was quite low, he filled it up to proper pressure and recomended I check it again soon. I took it to the tire shop that warranties them and sure enough there was an issue with the valve stem. This could have been dangerous on the freeway at 70 MPH!||[]Thanks to Lewie and Dakota at B&B - ||[]B&B is the only shop working on my car. ||[]||[]Nicole||[]
