went to a comedy/concert show at Ayva Center, from the management to the team and vendor, they all the great, the show went smooth and the food was very nice more

Really really enjoyed Ayva center's services 5/5/2011

Had my reception at the Ayva Center, the food and service was excellent. The hall was clean and decorated beautifully. The food was being refilled often, the bartenders were friendly. The staff and management were very accommodating. And the prices were well worth it! I would highly recommend Ayva Center. more

First I want to thank Ann and her husband Alex, they owners at Ayva Center...for everything and their kindness! This place is excellent and great for events. They were both understanding and kind at all times. They didn't try to drain you out of your money either. I had my wedding reception here in April of this year and when I walked into the room I was speechless. My husband and I were very please with the way ever thing looked. We were also very pleased with all the great service (beginning to end). Waiters and bartenders were very friendly. The food was great! I didn't hear any complains from our guest. This place is a must see and try out. Excellent place, excellent service and excellent food. Also, the price is very reasonable! more

My wedding reception... 5/4/2011

My wedding reception went as planned. I was so nerves but I shouldn't have been because everything promised was delieverd. The decore was amazing, my guest couldn't stop talking about it. The food was delicious. What really impressed me the most was how professional the staffs were and how everything that ayva center promised was exactly was delieverd...as if they had rehurst their lines or some sort. Overall, I will recommand this venue to anyone who wants to have a wedding reception or ceremonies. more

my sweet 16th party 3/21/2011

I only picked the view because it had scrob lighting but when I saw how great it was decorated I told my parents I want to have another party here. We had professional food service, the staff was great. I did not have to wait for anything. I needed the lighting to shine on my table...it took a little longer than i expected but other than that everything went great. My friends,family and i enjoyed the whole night. Thank you Ayva Center. more

Had a great time @Ayva Center!!! 3/14/2011

My friends and I wanted somewhere to go and we drove pass Ayva Center on richmond ave, the venue was so eye catching from the street that we stopped and ask the people what was going on. It was a local known entertainers raising money to help the kids in their community. Once we were in, they had Great food! Great music! Great dance floor! Big Stage and Great drinks!!! Clean bathrooms and helpful staffs. more

I'm responding to the negative feed back on behalf of our company "Ayva Center". This website does not allow us to comment on the reviews. Our facility is a full service exemplary facility in Houston. This lady is trying to make us look bad because of her personal reasons. Below is our respond to her comments: This lady is lucky that we didn't cancel the function. They were supposed to bring in the remaining balance of their contract 30 days before the function. But they always promised us to pay the next day till the day of the function. On the day of the function we were supposed to receive the balance in cash or certified funds. But they couldn't come up with the money. so we had no choice but to cancel the food portion of the contract. 3 hours before her function, her husband was practically on his knees bagging us to serve the food. He gave us a promissory note that he would pay the balance in the following week. We already had the food prep and our chef in the building so we decided to go ahead and serve the food. This is the first time that this happened in our business. And we were not sure that we get paid as promissed. The food was supposed to be served at 7pm and we were ready to serve at 7pm. The principal of their school was late and didn't show up till 8:30. So they wanted to delayed the dinner till he showed up. We had to keep the food in the warmers for more than 2 hours. So I don't say that food was OK and I'm not saying that she is laying about the food. If the food is cooked around 6pm it needs to be served by 7pm. And any caterer knows that. But you have to work on miracles if they want us to serve the food that late and they want it to be perfect. The bread was not part of their contract. It was served as an extra item "at no charge" on some tables by reques. The day after the function they shwed up complaining about everything. We had to hold some of their equipments till we got paid. That is why she is trying to make our facility look bad. She basically has personal issues. more
