There are many advantages to the Verandas at the Point: nice highway access, AT&T Uverse, some units with attached garages. But you'll need to decide if that outweighs the poor construction. I am in building 11, which opened up at the end of June. Verandas touts luxury living, but I don't know what they think is ""luxury"": the granite on the kitchen counters is nice, but otherwise the counters in the bathrooms are Formica, the bathrooms, laundry room, & kitchen/living/dining all have linoleum floors. This leads the biggest problems of all - the noise. There is a family of 3 living above us & we hear everything: we hear EVERY step they make, closing doors reverberate, we hear their tv at night & their washing machine. Speaking of washing machines - the washer & dryer come in the unit & they are the cheap $250 models with no Delicate cycle on the washing machine & no choice in water temperature (warm only); there is only one heat setting on the dryer. We asked them to be removed so we could purchase & install our own, but they said no.
