Autos Direct Online

It was a terrible mistake to buy a car from Autos Direct Online. First, they promised, and I agreed, that the car would be financed and delivered to me and the loan documents would be delivered to me overnight so that I could sign and return them. After not receiving the documents for many days, and after leaving many messages with various Autos Direct Online personnel that were not returned, I was finally informed that the car could not be delivered if it is financed, and that I needed to pick up the car. I rearranged my schedule to make a trip to pick up the car, and when I arrived, they promised that someone would be able to pick me up at the airport immediately if I called right when I landed, but I had to wait by the curb for 40 minutes until someone picked me up. When I arrived, I was very upset to find that the pictures I had relied on were Photoshopped! There was damage to the front bumper and the piece surrounding the license plate on the back hatch had a large piece broken off, despite the fact that both of these parts appeared fine in the pictures. I was not happy about accepting the car in that condition with a mere $200 discount and a promise to deliver the broken part on the back, but I was forced to since it was my ride home and I needed to be back the next day. Five minutes into my ride home, the flasher started buzzing intermittently, as if the turn signal was stuck between on and off, which will probably be expensive to fix. I received the replacement part for the back a month later, but after doing some research online, it appears that I will likely end up having to pay the dealer to do install. In addition, the rear wiper motor is seized, and repair of that part will likely be expensive as well. They promised to send the title to the car to my house, but I never received it. The car has been sitting in my driveway for the past week because the temporary registration is expired. I asked them to pay for my rental car until I receive a replacement title, but they refused. I am aware that there are some risks inherent in purchasing a used car online before seeing it in person, but Autos Direct Online has treated me very poorly. I felt deceived that the car did not match the pictures on which I relied on to buy it, and am frustrated that I am spending so much money to fix the car just to get it into the condition I thought it was in. I am normally pretty laid back about this kind of thing, and I have never felt the need to leave a bad review of a business until now, but I am so angry that I have been treated this way and they have offered me nothing. more

I have communicated numerous times with special agents in regards to a verified fraud that has been committed. I was knowingly, willingly and intentionally lured into an act of deception by employees of Autos Direct stating they could finance me on a new truck. After stating I was approved I wired my deposit and then was told the financing promised could not be provided. The end result is they have refused to refund my deposit stating "we don't do refunds and we've told you numerous times we won't be refunding your money." Over a dozen phone calls and e-mails had been left before they voluntarily admitted their involvement in this overt act. Now we just wait for the wheels of justice... more

Recently bought an 08 Avalanche from Autos Direct Online...Thought their price was too low to be real...went there, looked at the truck, was in great shape, just as described. the whole experience was very low key, low pressure and extremely easy. I buy on average a car or 2 a year, and this was the easiest transaction in many years...No back and forth with "the manager" stuff !!, The deal was made in about 15 minutes. The did some work to the truck they said they would do and I picked it up a week later...Dan was great to deal with...Will check with them FIRST before my next purchase. more

I was very skeptical being that I'm from New York and I couldn't see the car before I gave him the deposit. Juan made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions, so I took a chance and went ahead with it. Within 10 minutes I had all of the paperwork in my Inbox. I decided that it would be cheaper for me to have the car shipped to my home, rather than fly there. I was pleasantly surprised when the car arrived because it was exactly like Juan described, even down to the couple small items that weren't completely perfect. I was actually impressed that it was nicer than I would have expected because of its age. Thanks again Juan, and I will definately shop there in the future. more

The car had no power and wouldn't go over 45 mph and made noises while accelerating. It turned out that the fan clutch was wasted and putting a load on the motor and the catalyctic converter was plugged up. The a/c compressor front bearing was coming off and making noise. It cost me $2400 to fix the car so I can drive it. Upon further inspection, I noticed rust bubbling up everywhere and covered up with fresh paint. Tires were dry-rotted and unsafe. The rear 3rd seat seatbelts were broken. I am still fixing this thing and finding more issues everyday and have spent thousands to fix this car -- I was told this car ran great and that they inspect and fix all problem prior to shipping. They are dishonest for sure and didn't even answer my calls or e-mails about problems. I decided to fix the car because I could not re-sell this to someone like it was and now I am stuck with it. BE CAREFULL AND CONSIDER BUYING FROM SOMEONE ELSE WHO IS HONEST!! I went off their ebay feedback but that is not a true reflection since most of their sales are done off ebay and auctions are often ended early like mine did leaving you no recourse or ebay protection. If they don't want to finish it on ebay --that's a red flag! SERIOUSLY WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS !!! more

I bought a car from these guys on Ebay, the car was represented in excellent condition. I left Negative feedback on Ebay stating the facts, which were I was very disappointed, I sent an email that got no response, and that they failed to mention that the car had been Keyed. The pictures they had on ebay clearly were photoshop'd to eliminate the huge Key gouge. They conned someone at Ebay's "Net Neutral" company into removing my negative feedback because as they said I should have went to Cleveland, OH to inspect the car first. My thinking is... that is the whole point of pics and descriptions on ebay not to mention feedback ratings. One assumes that when he is buying a car or anything for that matter on ebay, that he can know the pictures are accurate, the description is accurate and the feedback rating system is accurate. My opinion of Ebay tonight is forever changed as these guys now have a 100% feedback ranking again even after my negative feedback. It tells me to never again rely on a feedback ranking and certainly do not ever buy a car on Ebay again. Ill never ever make that mistake again no matter how good the deal seems. more

I want to give MANY, MANY Thanks to this group of WONDERFUL people. They go above and beyond to make car shopping an enjoyable experience. We were in the market for a new SUV for 2 weeks while getting the run around from many known dealers. Came across AutosDirect and the search ended in 1 DAY!!!
