It's great...the kids love it and the adults do to. Please keep in mind that to view these movies you have to wear a special set of glasses so keep that in mind if you have kids....

Do not go to this horrible place. 11/11/2014

Do not go to this horrible place.\r \r I've never been to a theater anywhere with a "no refunds, no reason" policy. You would think that if a vendor couldn't provide the service they sold you, they would refund you. But general manager Theresa Waldron refused to refund us, even though there were no acceptable seats available. You pay the jacked up ticket price in a theater like this for the "IMAX Experience", but beware because Theresa Waldron's idea of the IMAX experience is for you to sit three feet from the screen looking straight up, while your wife sits in the back of the theater because there are no longer two seats available in which you can sit with your spouse.\r \r When I asked to speak with her, she tried to escort me away from the line so that she could continue to sell tickets to unknowing customers who would be put through the same horrible experience. I refused to move, which is when she got nasty. I've never seen such inept and downright offensive behavior from managem more

Do not go to this horrible place.\r \r I've never been to a theater anywhere with a ""no refunds, no reason"" policy. You would think that if a vendor couldn't provide the service they sold you, they would refund you. But general manager Theresa Waldron refused to refund us, even though there were no acceptable seats available. You pay the jacked up ticket price in a theater like this for the ""IMAX Experience"", but beware because Theresa Waldron's idea of the IMAX experience is for you to sit three feet from the screen looking straight up, while your wife sits in the back of the theater because there are no longer two seats available in which you can sit with your spouse.\r \r When I asked to speak with her, she tried to escort me away from the line so that she could continue to sell tickets to unknowing customers who would be put through the same horrible experience. I refused to move, which is when she got nasty. I've never seen such inept and downright offensive behavior from management in any theater. You can go to any budget AMC, Cobb, Movieco and if you change your mind at the last minute you can get your money back quite easily. You can go to more expensive premium theaters with bar service like iPic and Cinebistro and get your money back or at the very least get a credit for a future movie, but Theresa Waldron thinks that the horrible service provided at Autonation IMAX is so superior that she can refuse refunds and not provide customers the theater experience they are paying good money for.\r \r I was so offended by her behavior and attitude that I told her that I would be filing a chargeback on my credit card, since I did not receive what I had paid for. She looked at me with a smirk and told me they would be disputing it. Unbelievable. As I walked out, stunned, she continued to yell at me and my wife, as additional customers made more non-refundable purchases. Whoever hired this woman should have their head examined.\r \r Don't ever give these idiots your credit card. They'll screw you. more

Go elsewhere 3/10/2010

I've been to the IMAX at Sunset Place and our local one in NYC. I've even been to this one years back when I believe it was called Blockbuster IMAX. This is by far the worst IMAX "experience." Half the seats should not be sold, as it's impossible to watch. If you insist on going, don't attend any popular shows, as you are unlikely to occupy one of the maybe 30 seats that provide a decent experience. \r \r Also, BEWARE of some "priority" seating for popular shows. These were not listed on their price sheets, but provide first access to purchasers. We started standing in line for Alice in Wonderland a good 40 minutes before the show only to be end up at the back of the line as a large group of people with "priority" seating went to the front of the line. I would have happily purchased priority seats had I known they were an option. I asked to speak to the manager, who was an arrogant ass. \r \r On our way out, we walked in front of the ticket window. The same scene from our show (someone com more

  • In Short
Visitors can stroll through a see-through replica of a beehive or wonder at the world's largest captive indoor Atlantic coral reef bank. An early childhood Discovery Center provides stimuli for young minds, while the Space Base exhibit takes participants on a virtual voyage to the moon. Gizmo City provides hands-on examples of the building blocks of modern technology, and the Sound exhibit explores the scientific concepts behind sound and music. But the big draw is really the Blockbuster 3-D Imax Movie Theater, a state-of-the-art facility with 5-story high wrap-around screens, stadium seating, digital sound and a you-are-there immediacy that remains unmatched in South Florida. It's like the wildest Science Fair you can imagine, without all the cheesy class projects.
