My car wouldn't start today, I called Jack the owner whom I've known for at least 10 years, told him about my desperate financial situation and that I couldn't even afford a prescription I must have. He came to my home, jump started my car, followed me to his shop in Van Nuys, checked it, discovered that I'd left a small light on and let me go without paying a dime.\r more

I've dealt with Autoaid for years and found them to be the BEST auto repair service shop I've ever dealt with. Their prices are fair and all the people that work there care deeply about their customers.\r more

David and Jack are fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone that needs to have work done on their vehicles. I have a jeep that's 29 years old so I have had to have many repairs over the years and this is the one place that I've found where I'm comfortable with the owners and I'm not concerned that I'm going to be charged for a lot of unnecessary repairs.\r more

I am new to California and was not sure who to trust with my car. I found Auto Aid on yelp, read the reviews, and checked them out. And they are a great company. Trustworthy and friendly!\r more

Service is exceptional, always a quick diagnosis and repair. Fair pricing, efficient mechanics and the business is family owned and operated! They give a complete and thorough check on the vehicles, and will give an honest assessment of necessary repairs, I never feel as though I am being ""sold"" a job I do not need. Absolutely nothing negative to post for this great auto repair shop. (And yes, you are always greeted with a warm and friendly smile)\r more

In short I can tell you that I've been a loyal customer of AutoAid & Rescue for 20 years. In all my years of car ownership - BMW's, VW, Volvo, Ford, Toyotas, Plymouth Voyager - I have never had a better experience with auto service and customer care. Jack and David are honorable and sociable. Prices are fair and the service is ""priceless."" Never, never, never have I been sold or recommended something that was not needed. Moreover, when an future repair is upcoming it is suggested to hold off until that time to gain more mileage on that item's repair/replacement thus saving many dollars over the cars lifetime. The shop is always clean and orderly demonstrating a pride of ownership. I'm about two to three miles fromm the shop and if needed a ride home is always offered.\r more

David and the crew pinpointed an exhaust issue I had been battling for months. Ford, a gas station service unit and an exhaust specialist couldn't diagnosis. These guys had it nailed in five minutes.\r more

On a rare occasion, you get to review a business that is just stellar. In LA, it's doubly rare. But in LA, to be able to review such a business and then realize that it's family owned and operated...well, it's like you're transported back to Main Street USA, in the 50s, where the mechanic tells you exactly what's what and everyone knows your name and you can stop holding your breath because you're going to be treated like a real person rather than a ""mark"" to gouge for as much money as possible. Such an idyllic place exists at AutoAid.\r more

I've been to many repair shops in my time, but never one that was as concerned about their customer's needs as Auto Aid. They are clean, courteous and stand behind their work 100%.\r more

These guys are great - I can't say enough good things about this shop. They’re smart, the place is clean, there's a nice waiting room, and they take the time to talk you through all the repairs. There’s no hard sell on stuff you don't need, they are willing to discuss what has to be done NOW, and what can wait, if you can't pay for all the repairs. They even save the damaged parts & will show them to you if you want! In addition, they washed the car, use a AAA discount on labor, and give new customers a little welcome kit for your glove compartment. And there's coffee & cookies in the waiting room! I have finally found my new mechanic.\r more

Auto Aid has always given me the best, most competent service for my vehicle. Never a worry about having to go back and fix the same thing twice. Highly recommend them for any auto services.\r more

For over 20 years, I have been a customer at Auto Aid. Whenever there is an auto problem or I just want a tire checked I go to Auto Aid. They are friendly and won't talk over your head like some mechanics do, especially if you are female. Any problem with my car is easily explained by Jack or his son David Bulko. Understanding the problem makes it easier to make a decision on what to do. All work is guaranteed for 12 months and you can trust them, I do!\r more

Finding a reliable car service/repair shop I guess is always a challenge for most of us especially women. I found Auto Aid and Rescue thru AAA and I've had my car serviced by them probably three times already. They are very efficient, trustworthy and have great customer service. The first thing that caught my attention was the cleanliness of the place. I felt comfortable right away. David was very professional and helpful. He explained everything to me and I didn't have to wait long for my car to be serviced. I didn't mind waiting though as their waiting area was equipped with a TV, coffee, kids play area (good for the moms) and most importantly a super clean restroom. Thanks to Auto Aid and Rescue ... going to a car shop will not be as unpleasant anymore..\r more

Jack and David run a tight ship. They make sure you understand what's going on with your auto (for those of us who are non-mechanically-inclined!), and they consistently and uniformly do the right thing. They are, in a word, trustworthy and do exceptional work to boot. They are a testament to the belief that integrity and honor still exist.Who'da thunk it? To find that at an autoshop? Jack & David: you set the bar. I'll never recommend anyone to go anywhere else.\r more
