We took our vehicle in to fix our air conditioner during a very hot week here in Oregon. We called first and we asked about costs etc. We were told the 'worst case scenario' was about $1000. ( If the compressor was shot etc. ) We left off our truck and before we were barely through the door at home we were called and told that it would be the worst case scenario. ( OK, fine... So we authorized that and they said they could have it done same day. ) One hour later they called and said it would now be $1,700 - as they broke something ( the factory tightened it too much is what they said ) blah blah blah. So we told them to hold tight and then we made a couple other calls. Long story short - we found a shop to do the same work ( including fixing the broken parts ) for under half of what Auto Repair Specialties wanted us to pay them. When we picked up our truck and paid the $140 some dollars they still charged us for their labor we told them why we were not having them fix the AC. They denied that their prices were out of line. They didn't offer to do anything for our time or our labor driving back and forth and having to go somewhere else at the end of it all. They seem very uninterested in what their customers think - they just figured because it was hot we would pay their over inflated prices. Call around first people. You will be glad you did. We saved $900 on this service. That is a ridiculous difference for the same service offered across town!
Cons: Over Priced and No Customer Service skils
