I loaned my SUV the my kids to make an emergency trip to Missouri April 7. Keith insisted I I have MV Auto Repair check it out for safety before they left that evening, I was relieved when my son reported driving safely through the pass in Butte, Montana in white out conditions at 5 am! The repair facility of Mount Vernon Towing gave me an estimate of $500 dollars plus replacement of a battery after having my vehicle towed in. One week later, the service advisor called me to tell me the charges were above $1300, almost 300 percent above the estimate. After going back to the shop to review the bill, I found that the shop had preformed several services that I had not requested or authorized, and stated on the invoice that I had ""ok'ed"" these services, which was completely false. These services included a transmission flush and filter change. I am now stuck in litigation with this company for the unauthorized work and charges. To top it all off, they replaced my vehicle parts with used parts, likely from a wrecking yard, while charging new parts prices. They also did not honor the $75 tow discount that their ad promotes, and finally did poor repair work, as my tachometer no longer works, but did prior to the repairs. Cons: Overcharges, used parts, faulty repairs more
