I've choose them because it was the best quote found online.
They've called me the next day and told me that the price is going to be $145 dollars to replace my car's cracked windshield. The operator, have told me that, one of their techs will be at my house the next day in the morning to do the job. Everything seemed to be just fine at this point.
The next day, they called me 30-60 minutes before the tech showed up. The job was done outside my house on the drive, pretty quick, in about an hour or so. All good.
I've been called outside to check the new windshield and to pay. Show time!
The bill was $194.66. There was a mobile+ moulding charge added to the install. Basically, they've charged me $40 extra dollars for showing up at my house, without telling me, from the start, that there will be an additional fee, if the job will be done outside their shop. I'm a teacher, and obviously, I have plenty of time in the summer. And, although $40 isn't a big amount of money, I would prefer to spend them on something else, and not on paying for somebody to drive to my house. The car was drivable, because there was only a small crack in the glass.
This wasn't the end, though. An hour later, they've called me and told me that, by mistake, my debit card has been charged twice. Once $494.66, and then another $194.66. Exactly, an extra $494.66. This is my checking account, and we're talking almost $500 less. I've been assured that the wrong charge has been ""voided"" and the money should be back in my account. Hahahahaha! Funny, right! I'm checking my bank account online, and guess what? The money are not there. I'm $494.66 less. Life is Good!
Shortly, it took me 4 calls/1hour of talking with them and their manager to have the illegal charge put back, but the whole thing wasn't 100% done until the second day's morning, when the $500 were, finally, showing in the bank.
What can I do more than this bad review?
Well, I've contacted the Better Business Bureau and filled a complaint. I've told the manager about it, and he'd laughed.
I hope that more people, will read our stories here and take a good decision before having their glass replaced.
Our economy is definitely not going to recover with this kind of business ethics.
Beware of Glass Pro!
