Only went to this place because it was AAA approved, as I use them for my towing.
Towed it in on Thurs eve around 5pm, called the shop Friday morning, he said it'd be 300 bucks to replace my radiator. Said that he would need to do that to do anymore troubleshooting to see what may have caused the overheating to begin with. I say okay.
Monday I call he says that he has not started but will today and give me a cb in the morning.
Tuesday no call, so I call him (Terry) late afternoon and he says he will give me a call back tomorrow
I wait, call him again Wednesday morning, he says that he hasn't started will start tomorrow and give me a call.
Thursday morning hadn't heard anything so I call him he says we are getting started on it RIGHT now!! Says he'll call me back at 2pm with status. 2pm no call.. they close at 5, still didn't call.
FRIDAY morning. He calls, says oh, it's going to be an extra 185 because we need to take your bumper off to get to your radiator. So I say, hold that thought, let me get back to YOU this afternoon to let you know how to proceed.
I show up unannounced and take the car. When he realizes I have a tow truck en route he proceeds to pull my car around back where I can't see it so he can ""make sure everything is put back in place"" I refuse to let the car out of my sight and escort him to the car and tell him that we will be having a look at it TOGETHER. He does his little pretend check, and says it's fine. I am oblivious to cars and even I could tell he hadn't done a thing.
I say well I'll just wait right here for the tow truck. Thanks! He stomps off. (Terry)
He was about to REALLY fix my car for me. For real.
The bumper story was totally FAKE. The AAA tow guy and the 2nd mechanic both agreed. So dude totally LIED to me!!!
DO NOT GO TO AUTO DOCTOR. HE WILL TRY TO FLAT LINE YOU.
PS: This shop doesn't even deserve ONE star but it would not let me submit my comment without a ranking, so 1 star, but really zero.
Pros: You're kidding..
Cons: Everything.
