I moved to Charlotte Sept 06 and was looking for a masseuse I can rely on to work on my kinks when needed or just for a relaxing massage. I found Tammy Austin on Citysearch and the reviews are extremely helpful and spot on. I'm particular about massages cause a bad massage can have detrimental effects. I've seen her twice and have been very happy with the results. The muscle strains on my back were immediately addressed. She is sensitive to the body's pains and inconsistencies and has an amazing healing touch. I used to get a massage almost every week before I moved to Charlotte. I have enjoyed Tammy's work for many years. She is very versatile, one of the best for deep tissue massage (she is one the strongest practitioners I know), but also excellent in the very subtle art of energy work, my personal favorite. Being very intuitive, she is able to feel the energy and move it effortlessly, providing an immediate release and a great opportunity for deep meditation. I have been to numerous massage therapists. Tammy gives the kind of massage that my body needs. I am always under stress - my neck tightens up immediately when work/personal life, etc. get hectic. I need deep tissue massage and Tammy delivers. A feel good massage is not what I need. I thought one time that I would have to see a physical therapists because of pain in my hand. She worked this area for several visits and it improved 95%. I would recommend her to anyone needing a massage with results. more
