Best Breakfast in San Diego! 1/2/2009

My husband and I miss Aunt Emma's like you wouldn't believe!!! When we lived in San Diego while my husband was in the Navy, so this was perfect for us, since we were on such a limited budget but wanted a awesome breakfast.\r When we started a family (we have two girls), this became our little restaurant haven every Sunday lol! This is a prefect place for families, very family friendly and budget friendly what more can you want!\r \r The pancakes are the best pancakes I have ever had, the omlettes are so yummy! MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOUR APPETITES WITH YOU, THE BREAKFASTS ARE HUGE!\r The Denver omlette, California omlette were my faves! they come with two pancakes and hash browns (you can choose either with fruit or toast), there menu is really great and not to overwhelming, and the place is great with seating.\r There is a parking, but it can get pretty busy, the hotel next to the restaurant (Best Western if memory serves me correct) has given customers permission to park there if Aunt emmas parking is full. \r \r My husband and I used to try and get there before 10am because it can get very crowded and busy, the longest we have ever had to wait is 15minutes, though the wait is extremely worth it.\r Customer service is awesome! every waitress we had there is very friendly, they do there best to make sure everyone get's there coffee refills and food even when it get's extremely busy.\r \r IF YOU WANT AWESOME FOOD, THIS PLACE IS MORE THEN GREAT! and if I can give it 10/10 I would give it that. Just say this if my husband and I could fly to Aunt Emma's every morning just for breakfast we would! \r WE MISS YOU AUNT EMMA'S!!\r \r Pros: Awesome pancakes, Awesome Omlettes, Awesome Service, Awesome Value! Cons: None more

Hearty and Inexpensive 8/19/2006

If you're looking for a good breakfast, without a large bill, and large portions, you need not travel far here in the South Bay. Come to Aunt Emma's, a family ran afair, since the 1960s. Although they toute their pancakes, which aren't anythiing to shake a fork at, the omlettes are what I go for. Atleast three eggs, with good quality ingredients . . . and good service, for a place so crowded . . . it is a departure from alot of the other places recommended by other reviewers. Pros: Large Portions, Better then Decent service, Good Quality Cons: Limited Parking, Always Crowded, Limited Hours more
