Even during a particularally busy roofing season, August Roofing was responsive, professional, punctual, and did what they said they would.

Worst

The reason I'm giving a low rating pertains to the second roof I had them do. Some material was installed improperly and I haven't heard back from them about what they're going to...

Done to perfection 3/6/2015

11 years ago we had a 40-year-old flat roof replaced. August recommended adding a pitch to the roof, using foam blocks. Water now runs to the side instead of pooling. The excellent composite roofing that they applied lasted the 10 years it was supposed to, but showed a few bubbles. We just replaced it with a rubbery Latex product recommended by August and with a 20 year guarantee. I expect that we won't see August Roofing for a long long time. Only in this industry -- and perhaps funeral services -- is that a great thing! more

Professional group and an outstanding job. 11/11/2014

I must admit I am skeptical of most contractors/job groups because you never know if you are going to get someone who is trying to make an easy buck or if they are telling the truth. Well, from the start, August Roofing was upfront and honest. I had two leaks in my roof that needed to be patched and based on the leaks, much of the wood needed to be replaced. They sent out their estimator who did all of his assessment and then sent me a copy of what they were going to do: complete with pictures and everything spelled out. Once I agreed to the price, the guys then came out and finished the job in one day. And of course..the next day it rained and their repair held up perfectly. I had a question about one issue I noticed and they sent their guy out the next day to investigate the issue. The touched up the issue and I never felt like it was a burden or that they were not going to come back. They seem to stand by their work and guarantee it. It's nice to know there is a roofing company that is operating in this fashion in Simi Valley. Thanks Guys! more

The crew were fantastic they knew their job very well clean the work area every day after work done. Finished the job as promised professionally. Their supervisor was on job site at least once a day and explain the progress to me. I will recommend you to all my friends. more

Great Job 8/29/2014

Called ARI for a cost on remove old tile and install new paper and reinstall old tile, and fix dry rot, also asked for cost on installing new tile. Well when it came time we picked the new roof. We had to pick colors which was a job, Jeff came out with different colors we had chosen to see, well we didn't like just one color so Jeff told us other people had used two and three colors, so after seeing the three colors we picked the three color tile roof, all blended very well together thanks to Jeff. The crew showed up on the day they said they wood, and I asked Javier who is the superintend as to about how long to do the job he stated 3-4 days. In three days they were all done with my roof, I could not believe, but I watched them every day and the crew was VERY GOOD they all worked very good and well together. The bid I got was not the highest or the lowest, the best thing about ARI NO MONEY down, all other companies asked for a deposit before starting. If I ever need another roof done I will call on ARI. more

Highly recommend 8/11/2014

A top notch company with a great deal of emphasis on customer satisfaction. The quality of their work was very good and when some unique challenges arose they were handled professionally and with care. Although they were not the lowest bidder, I would note that when they encountered an unanticipated issue that clearly was going to cost them extra time and material their only comment was “Don’t worry about it, this is on us”. The superintend, Javier visited one or more times daily to resolved any questions or potential problems as well as being just a phone call away. Sergio, the crew boss was likewise knowledgeable, professional and clearly placed a high priority on customer satisfaction. In a nutshell, August Roofing came out, provided a competitive bid, did the job when they said they would, and in the manner they said they wood. I would hire this company again without reservation. I liked and felt comfortable with every person I dealt with, from the President Chris Dyck to their lowest laborer. more

Top Quality work 7/25/2014

They made this as pleasant an experience as reroofing can be. From the first call to schedule my free estimate to the final clean-up, they made us feel comfortable, they showed up on time and cleaned up everyday when they were done and let us know when they were leaving. They came in just over estimate as there were additional roofing supplies. They get my highest referral. more

Jeff was VERY knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions and concerns promptly. I'd also like to commend Caesar for his earnest and capable willingness to fix the loose ends and did a beautiful carpentry job on the inside casings for the sky lights. Great job by all (but it hasn't rained yet....). more

Easy to work with 5/19/2014

August Roofing came with an excellent recommendation (word of mouth) and I was able to see their finished work before contacting them. Their office staff were professional and courteous. The representative that came to the house explained everything, made suggestions and listened to our concerns. Three roofers came to our house, one time, prepared to work. They stripped the old roof, repaired sheeting, and weather proofed the roof in one day. The next day the new shingles were laid the next day. The three of them were courteous an professional. At the end of the job, all debris was cleaned up and an end-of-job walk around was done. All said and done, working with August Roofing and their personnel was a positive experience. more

Reroof completed on time, also added seamless gutters 5/16/2014

August Roofing did a great job completing a reroof in 2 days, I am using the IKO brand and my roof size is considered small. They cleaned up debris each day so when I got home everything was tidy. I also had seamless gutters installed which look good. more

August Roofing met all of our expectations. Their price was competitive, they showed up on time, were very professional, and did an excellent job installing the tiles on our roof. We dealt with the owner Chris on a small issue and he more then took care of our needs. There was no damage to the house from the work they performed and they left with everything cleaned up at the end. We have already recommended them and will continue to do so and would definitely use August Roofing again. We also had neighbors who have used them in the past and they also felt very highly of the work they performed. more

Installed roofing on a new carport 12/13/2013

ARI completed the job as fast as they indicated they would. As with previous work I have had them do, they did it well, fast, and left everything clean. I am also pleased with them and would recommend them to everyone. more

Did an outstanding job. Had ARI do my 93 year mother-in-law's house just 1 year after ARI did mine. She is happy as a $@!#%, so I'm happy. . 12/6/2013

Did a re-roof job in 3 days, which was exactly what Neal estimated. Double layer felt and 10% new tile, which was installed on the back side so it was less noticeable. ARI also replaced quite a bit of dry rot on facia and ship lap and painted to match existing trim color, ( I supplied the paint). Only 1 minor problem, 24 inch scratch to garage door during demo process which was painted and is barley noticeable. Would recommend ARI to anyone needing a new roof or re-roofing. more
