Atmospheres Salon

This was my first time at Atmospheres Salon and am very pleased with the results. Andrea was my stylist and she gave me exactly what I was hoping for. I'm very particular about my haircuts and I have very high expectations. Andrea was able to give me the haircut I desired and she paid much attention to detail. I am very happy with the results ans will be back! more

Andrea is incredible for color! If you've been searching for a stable colorist, look no further. I have been searching forEVER to find someone as good as her in Savannah. She knew exactly what I needed-I'm paranoid about my hair (it's long and dyed and highlighted a natural caramel/red) so I was nervous as usual, but she took very good care of me and it came out wonderfully. I have gotten my haircut with Amber at Atmospheres Salon. She does a very good job and you can tell that she loves her job. I have been there twice and have gotten a great haircut each time. Go there, you will not be disapointed. more

Amber at Atmosphere's Salon is the only stylist I have met who can master my cut to perfection! I've been to countless salons in the Savannah area and have met with what seems hundreds of stylists but I usually end up unhappy. Amber is exactly the girl I've been looking for! Andrea is very meticulous and thorough! I have never been to a stylist that took the time and effort that she had with me. She made each strand perfect (my hair color is so natural)- it's unbelievable! I get stopped all the time by women whod ask me who I go to for my highlights. I think I've found several new clients for her already! :) On top of all this, Andrea is one of the sweetest and most genuine people I have ever met. I've been going to different hair salons in Savannah for over 5 years now and can never find a place that makes me want to keep going on a regular basis. I found Atmospheres Salon randomly on the website. It's a small but lovely place that feels personable. Andrea cut my hair and she was great. I kinda knew what I wanted but she was very helpful and explained how she was going to cut it every step of the way so that there was no surprises at the end. I got exactly what I wanted (which doesn't happen too often since most hair stylists I had before thought they knew and end up looking different than I imaged - lack of communication). I am usually pretty skeptical of such negative reviews, but this time I felt quit compelled to say something so others do not suffer with bad hair like I did. I take care of my hair and did tons of research before I chose this salon; the good reviews online and in the South Magazine made me select this salon. I got an appointment with Meagan. I simply wanted natural looking highlights, and I specifically asked to make sure the were not blond/grey. The process went through quickly and I could vaguely tell the color was not what I wanted, but I could not tell bc the lighting kind of masked the color. Once I got home and looked under my lighting I was horrified at my hair. It was grey chunky highlights that I am sure my little brothers could have done a better job. I immediately went to my moms salon, Island Styles Hair Salon, to get it corrected. The whole salon took the time to assess the damage, and they even noted that it had green in it. Ultimately, I assume everyone reading the reviews on Citysearch is like me wanting excellent hair, willing to pay for it, and doing research to see who is best in town. The research lies and Atmosphere Salon butchered my hair. If you want highlights go else where, or if you want the quality they gave me get a box and die your hair yourself. I just want to warn others that if you want color DO NOT go to Atmospheres. I take pride in my hair and this event was traumatizing. I love Atmospheres Salon! I have lived in Savannah for approximately 15 years and have followed Andrea from each of her salons until she opened this one on her own! Its GORGEOUS and an AVEDA salon to boot! She also now carries Kerastase! Good luck finding that anywhere outside of ATL! Pros: Get what you ask for! A world apart from all other salons! I started going to Atmospheres about six months ago after years of bouncing around other upscale salons, I have finally found a place that is everything a hair salon should be. The atmosphere is relaxing and they always give me the best looking cut & color I have ever had. When I leave there I feel totally relaxed and beautiful!! Their salon should be the standard that all others should strive for. Pros: Aveda salon, free parking downtown, highly skilled staff, very friendly. After trying several salons in the downtown area I finally found a home. Atmospheres Salon is just what an Aveda salon is supposed to be. Beautiful, elegant and relaxing. The staff is very professional and friendly. Corrie is the stylist that takes care of me and she is awesome. The scalp massages and relaxing atmosphere keep me coming back for more. The free downtown parking is also a huge plus. more
