It was not in my itinerary to go to the Keys alone BUT I ended up there as all my friends were busy working, boo! So I wanted some good exhilarating outdoors sports, paddle boarding, snorkeling, sun bathing, yes that counts & fishing. Fishing alone could be a bit intimidating, especially for me, female, alone, not knowing where to go & the ins & outs of hiring a charter. Luckily I was directed to the right group. Bamboo Charters in Islamorada! Captain Matt Bellinger was amazing & I must say if you are ever in the Keys you need to look him up them up! He was hospitable, filled with knowledge, polite, fun, and just a great partner to have out on the waters. He was entertaining & I must say I truly had the best time fishing ever! I caught a few spotted trout, some other fish called Jack something or other, PLUS I battled a Lemon shark! no joke! I have video! In any case some of the nicest people that have crossed my path.
