Athens Regional Nurse 8/18/2008

The Athens Regional Medical Center is by far the only hospital to go to if you need medical care of that level and are in the area.The hospital is modern and up to date. The rooms are clean and private. The staff is well trained and carefully screened. The food is of a very high nutritional calibre.If you should ever need a hospital in Athens/ Clarke County and its environs you want to go to Athens Regional. This is an award winning public institution. I personally know of one of the head nurses in this division and I recommend their midwife and Douala's services , as with all things related to this hospital they strive for excellence more

Top Notch Hospital 3/29/2006

I've had 2 surgeries and 2 babies in this hospital and I have never had a bad stay! They have caring nurses, lactation specialists and an excellent ER facility. With my second child, I had to have a c-section and on my last nights stay in the hospital and came and took my baby to the nursery and brought steak and lobster to my room for my husband and my self! more

Good Hospital 10/31/2005

I was recently admitted to the emergency room and then the general hospital at Athens Regional Medical Center. Though the waiting room was slow it was amply-supplied with magazines and chairs and the monitor was friendly but firm.\r \r Once in the emergency room the nurses and doctors were extremely friendly and kind. And again in the general hospital the nurses were so kind - they converted a chair into a bed so my husband could spend the night with me. \r \r Though is may not be the newest facility, it was well-equipped and comfortable. I will always be going to Athens Regional for my medical needs. more

Great Hospital 9/16/2005

This is the best hospital that I know of around. We were just there with my son a couple weeks ago and they are wonderful. They are so nice and polite and caring. We have also had to be there one time with my husband. This is a great hospital! more

Marrying technology with patient care, the Breast Health Center offers North Georgia's first fully digital mammography center in a serene, spa-like setting.
    In addition, one of the Center's most notable advantages is its ability to provide same-day results for all diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds.
    Our dedicated staff features clinical breast radiologists specializing in the early detection of breast cancer, registered mammography and ultrasound technologists with focused training in breast imaging and breast health nurse specialists.
    The Breast Health Center and the Mobile Mammography Unit have provided more than 37,000 screening mammograms since 2004. More than 14,500 diagnostic exams have been performed, in addition to the more than 1,300 image-guided biopsy procedures.
