Local people call this Buddhist temple, Wat Atam. This is a true sanctuary for people with all walks of life regardless of their religion. Its location is convenient for those who live in both Seattle and the eastside. I recommend joining its community gathering on Sunday at American Legion Hall in Shoreline. This is a good chance to see Thai culture and tradition. The best part of the day is the discussion with the monks. Of course, it's in English. My friend who is Catholic likes to join a meditation session every Wednesday. I heard that the temple has a 3-day meditation session in summer that they require you to stay overnights. They have people to cook for you while you are concentrating with your mind. So, this is a retreat center that I consider next time.
