Do not hire Mark.\r
\r
Unfortunately, we hired Associated Drywall (Mark) on the recommendation of Jon at West Seattle Design Build. We should have fired him on day one of our project when he failed to show up to the site and gave us the option of explaining to his workers (in Spanish) what they were to do for the day or waiting a week or 2 to get his crew scheduled. Mark is a loose cannon with a nasty temper and from day one proceeded to berate and scold us throughout the project when we expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of work, repeated delays, and constant excuses. Mark repeatedly failed to show up to the site to manage his crew, who took on extra projects at our house for which Mark then attempted to bill us, and ultimately Associated Drywall produced shoddy work, leaving air bubbles in the ceiling and along many of the seams, inconsistent taping, uneven joint compound application, and generally dissatisfied clients. Mark never finished the job we agreed upon and to add insult to injury added various fees to our final bill which we never agreed upon. His efforts left a filthy mess (unlike any drywall subcontractor has ever left in our renovation experiences), but due to his temper tantrums we paid him an agreed upon amount to just stop him from harassing us with angry phone calls and declined his offer to return to re-sand the drywall.
