Worth a try 6/27/2011

I had my first laser facial at Assara. Not completely what I was expecting from a facial, but not disappointing either. My skin definitely looks better, though the laser technician says I will probably need at leat three more treatments. This was different from the pimple-skweezing facials I expected, the technician did a good job of explaining how the laser works to tighten skin and make it more flawless and glowing. My skin was a little red right after.. My doorman (who?s a huge flirt) said I was glowing? So good results I'd say. more

Best service and amazing results 5/22/2011

I decided to bight the bullet and give up shaving and waxing forever, so i chose Assara to permanently laser away the hair on my underarms, legs, upper lip and bikini area. Every time I go to Assara I have a good experience, they are polite and professional and always listen to me with regards to my needs. I still have 3 treatments left, but already i see the hair is growing in lighter, i,m so excited by the results. Thanks Assara! Very worth it!! more

Assara for clear smooth skin! 4/10/2011

Ever since I heard about airbrushing on magazines I?ve been trying to get glossy perfect magazine skin. I?ve tried scrubs and makeup like everyone else, but the best thing I?ve found so far is microdermabrasion at Assara. They really take their time and analyse your skin and make sure you?re going to walk out with smoother softer more even looking skin. You face will have a pinkish glow when you walk out and the next morning you?ll see and feel the difference. The laser technician suggested I try a laser facial to remove dark spots and nothing works like it! I read that some NYC celebrities go to Assara, and Ii believe it. They are amazing and dedicated to clients. more

hairy situation over! thanks Assara! 4/10/2011

I would never admit that I had a ?mustache?, but after my mother and a close friend commented on my hairy upper-lip hair situation I knew I had to do something about it. I thought about waxing? But the idea of seeing stubble when it grew back was just too gross. I always thought laser hair removal was too painful and too expen$ive, but when I called Assara I realized that it wouldn?t make a huge dent in my budget. I?ve done 3 laser treatments now and my ?mustache? is a thing of the past. Assara is clean and convenient and the treatment takes less than 5 minutes. My boyfriend even commented that something looked beautiful and different on my face. I just smiled and thought ?Thanks Assara!? more

First Impressions... 4/7/2011

Purchased a voucher on Livingsocial for 3 underarm treatments. Compared to other facilities I have visited, this one was a little sub par, but it was clean. The first person I encountered was a woman who I believe is named Angela (not that she introduced herself) who I assume was the patient coordinator since she handled my paperwork and finances. Then again, she was wearing scrubs, so she could have been a technician. Her approach was a bit abrasive and borderline condescending. There was even a point where I considered walking out on the appointment all together. I chalked it up to the language barrier and shrugged it off. On the other hand, my technician was a delight. I do wish they offered gowns or applied a cream/lotion to the treated area, otherwise it was a good experience. The Front desk was also super nice. If it wasn't for my experience during the initial consultation I would have given Assara a higher rating. more

Would not recommend 4/1/2011

I signed up for unlimited $ 599.00 program. After 8 months and $ 4800.00 later, I do not see very good results. My underarms are kind of reasonable but all other areas have much hair. They rush you through treatments. Oh, also they advertise this at $ 449.00 on other places so pricing is sketchy. do your research. more

Make sure you get you have Angela as your specialist. Absolutely amazing!! I have been going to Assara for the past 3 years, and it is very far from where I live, but the only reason I continue to go is becuase of Angela. She has been treating me, and she does a fantastic job. She is very professional, focused, really cares about you and your body, and does not miss a spot. She is very patient and gentle. Totally recommend Assara 1/24/2011

I was a skeptic when I went to Assara for laser hair removal on my legs. I had been receiving laser treatment at a different clinic and after two sessions, there was no impact whatsoever. A friend recommended I try Assara instead. Angela was completely professional, asked me questions, answered my concerns, was willing to let me pay for a single treatment so I could gain confidence but still allowed me to avail of the package deal when I was ready. The application of the laser itself was only slightly uncomfortable in certain places (like ankles) but Angela is extremely good at managing that. I completed all 6 sessions and all of the dark hair on my legs has gone. Because I am naturally fair haired, there is still some residual blond hair that isnt impacted by the laser but this isnt really noticable. My only recommendation if youre going for leg hair removal, is to start during the winter....as youre advised not to shave / wax in between treatments. Also advise purchasing hydro cortisan cream to slather on post treatment - as my skin became quite itchy after each session. Overall - would totally, totally recommend Assara. Am looking fwd to a hair-free, hassle-free summer! more

Great results so far...better than expected 11/30/2010

I had a laser hair removal treatment on my upper legs, yesterday. I have olive skin with dark hair and hate shaving the back of my thighs. I get ingrown hair and often you can see my hair under the skin so it looks like stubble. This is the second time that I have visited assara for laser hair removal and both times I found that my fears were worse than reality. It doesn?t hurt as much and is faster than I expected. more

Laser facial and microderm 11/8/2010

I just got a laser facial and combined it with microdermabrasion at Assara. It was very very good. The laser woman was sweet and gave me a great facial. I feel refreshed and my skin looks great. The first time I went to Assara I thought I was in the wrong place, it looks like a doctor?s office. They?re not really like a spa, it?s more like a clinic, which is good because I?ll take and clean and efficient over relaxing mumbo-jumbo. It wasn't cheap, but I'm happy with the results. I live by the motto you get what pay for anyway. more

6 consecutive treatments needed for best results 10/24/2010

I did laser hair removal on my underarms and bikini area last year at Assara. I didn?t complete the 6 treatments they recommend since things got tricky with money for me. Anyway, I by my 3rd treatment almost no hairs were growing back so I wondered why I should continue going? so I stopped going. Now I?m able to go back since I got a new job. When I went back only about 50% of my hair was growing back. And the hairs that did grow back were thin and pale. I was so surprised to see how much it has changed in the year I was away. I am completely happy with the laser hair removal here. Now 99% of my hair is gone. more

Excellent experience with laser facials 10/20/2010

I had a laser facial yesterday at Assara for my upcoming birthday next week. I don't get to do this often, but I do like to treat myself when I can. I am so happy with the results. It was well worth it. This isn?t the squeeze-pimples and scrape-your-skin type of facial, it?s a high tech thing where the aesthetician does a mask and then uses the laser to buff your skin to younger look. The laser feels warm and I enjoyed every minute... :) My skin looks great today. Thanks Assara more

Fast and good 10/18/2010

I had great service here. In and out on my lunchbreak. I had bikini line done and it was pretty painless, I was more shy than in pain. But the tech was completely professional and the place is clean so I knew I was in good hands. Thanks Assara. I Will definitely recommend to friends more

Great experience! 7/27/2010

Love the location and the staff- everybody is super nice and they really spend time with you. This place may be expensive but it is in their best interest to get you good and fast results. I got the bikini and underarms, and after only 5 sessions, I don't shave anymore, which was a better result than I was told to expect by my friends who have also gotten treatment at other places. Not having to shave in the summer is incredible more

Exceptional Spider Vein Removal Service 6/24/2010

I highly recommend Angela at Assara. I went in for spider vein removal in May, and Angela (the laser specialist) was not only professional and courteous, but also very understanding of my budget constraints! After thorough examination of my widespread, untreated leg spider veins, she determined upfront I would need from 3 to 4 sessions to obtain the desired results. The cost per session was very reasonable. On my first session, she understood just how much it meant to me to have spider veins removed from my nose as well, and she did so right away. Throughout the procedure, she gave me thorough explanations for how the treatment worked, what I should expect next, and how to maintain the health and beauty of my legs. Fabulous results 5/31/2010

I've been to Assara a few times for the laser facial plus microderm. The whole experience is about 60 minutes and not painful at all. The laser moves fast all over your face and it can get a little hot when it hits darker skin spots. This type of facial treatment isn?t like a essential oil type of thing. Its high tech, there?s the laser beeping and the micro machine whirring, but somehow the technician makes it all seem enjoyable. Afterwards, my skin looks noticeably smoother with a real-life-swear-to-god glow. I am extremely satisfied. Pros: Results are even better than I expected Cons: Can be pricey more

Very satisfied overall 1/31/2010

My husband and I are critics of everything. We both had laser hair removal at Assara last Saturday. He had his back done while I did my legs. We tried to be critical, but we have no real complaints overall. Our services were great (the actual laser is a little painful but bearable; I'll probably get the numbing cream next time). Assara Laser was a great experience for me....the service was excellent and the laser techs were so nice. I got my bikini line done about 2 weeks ago and still i feel great about the job.
