Good gym.. poor accounting 10/1/2010

I was a member for over five years and was happy with the gym and all the staff that they had working there. However, the financial side of the company is a nightmare to work with. They are based of Layton UT, and something as simple as canceling because I moved out of the area was a huge problem. They required absolutely ridiculous documentation to prove that I'd moved, charged exorbant fees, were incredibly rude and challenging to deal with. Worst experience I've had in a long time. For this reason I can't recommend Aspire. more

Just like any other gym with a contract. 12/15/2008

This gym is like any other that ask you to sign a contract. Promise the world then don't deliver after you are obligated to a contract. Go to snap fitness for $39 a month no contract or Elite Fitness for $19.99 a month no contract. At least they have to work for you or you can leave. Never sign a contract!! amke your gym work for you. more

Yoga classes are really good 12/1/2008

I wasn't sure what to expect from yoga classes at ""the gym"" but was pleasantly surprised by the yoga instructors at Aspire. The atmosphere is not generally as trendy or ""feng shui"" as more private clubs and studios, but the instructors are all very qualified and have different styles of teaching and intensity. Most of the teachers also instruct at some of the other high-end fitness clubs. I always get a great deal out of the classes at Aspire and would recommend that you give it a try! Pros: low-cost, not over-crowded, good energy, great classes and instructors Cons: hours on the weekend, purple walls, equipment is average more

Absoulutely The Best Gym In Town... 7/17/2008

I have seen all the gyms in bend and this one is by far the best one in town for the price. For people who think they have sneaky ways of getting a few extra buck out of you in the form of membership dues, it's as simple as reading the cancellation policy in the contract you signed when you signed up for the membership. Pros: great classes and friendly staff more

They've Got To Get Their Money... 2/25/2008

The gym isn't bad, equipment is decent and they have a small amount of classes. Just beware that if you decide to end your membership they find sneaky ways to make sure to get at least another month's fees out of you. My membership was up in January...I called to let them know that I did not want to continue with a month to month membership. I was told that all I had to do is fax them a letter stating so. What they didn't bother to inform me of was that they would be charging me for an additional month seeing as they recv'd my letter on Jan. 26th and my membership fees are taken out on the 21st. So, seeing as I only gave them 25 days notice, not 30 days, they went ahead and took the fees out on Feb. 21st. Minor details left out just so they could get $40 bucks! more
