Garbage 3/26/2015

I went for my first appointment with my wife to get our teeth cleaned. They had us waiting there forever in the dentist's chair only to tell us that they weren't going to be doing the cleaning. Mind you we had an appointment. They convinced us we needed some extra crap that we would have to pay for out-of-pocket. We were also told they wanted to make sure we would understand everything we would pay. We went back after setting another appointment to finally have our cleaning done and were charged according to what was given to us before after factoring in insurance. Our account was supposed to completely paid. Now I receive a bill in the mail very shortly later telling me that I have five days to pay an additional amount. I should have looked these people up before. DO NOT GO HERE. My particular experience was with the Kingston Pike location in Knoxville, TN. more

I went to Aspen in pain. I was terrified by going to the dentist, but the doc and staff all made me feel comfortable. The treatment was rather excellent. Fast & painless. more

Horrible 4/25/2012

I went here for a general check up they found 1 cavity. I had filling done it was the worst work done by a dentist in my life and I'm 43 I've had fillings before the Dentist must have been an amatuer because I was plenty numb but she was horrible at drilling and to get the filling packed in it took her all a long time and she put so much pressure on my face, worst experience ever. Later that day after the numbing wore off the filling was noticably uneven and the tooth was all of a sudden sensitive. I called right away to let thme know and see if they could take me back in the next day. The office girl said to come in early in the morning and they would squeeze me in to accomodate me. Went in the next morning waited over an hour and they still hadn't squeezed me in. I left told after 75 minutes of waiting , toldthem I would never be back if they couldn't accomadate their patients that are in pain, especially when they caused the pain. Previous to the filling the toothe wasnt bothering me. When I went to another dentist he said when she drilled she went to far and prob. exposed the root, it was so sensitive he could hardly work with it. NASTY JOB DONE AT ASPEN DENTAL, Glad I didn't take my kid there for his root canal like I had scheduled. more

Recptionist is rude and clearly not ment to be in customer service 12/12/2011

Good: Place was clean and looked very orginized walking in the door. Was pleased and felt comfortable.. Bad: The front end staff!!!!! Receptionist was unfriendly, and rude to the point of almost belligerent. Also didn't know about Met-Life insurance not having cards and going by a policties SS# as they account number. While this is forgivable somewhat (although Met-life is a large company and shouldn't be the only person going their useing it) arguing with the customer is NOT. Clearly not the image that Aspen was looking to portray.. Improvements: I hate to say it but get rid of the receptionist. Lets face it, this is a costomer service their is other dentist out there. When I come in and feel second rate I am looking to go else where plain and simple. When I walk in to a building the first person should set the mood for my entire visit. Fortunately for aspen I was in need and they happen to be their, when I go again if service hasn't changed, I will be going else where and strongly recomending my friend to never go there!. Other: Receptionist should know their job and be their to wait on the customers HAND and FOOT like you were in a resturant. As for the rest of the staff didn't have any other problems. Didn't have to deal with billing so can't validate the other claims. In short, I will go back maybe. Although, definatly going to look into going to a diffrent location if front end personal dosen't attitude adjustment and realize that the customer is always your first priority.. more

Secretive, not helpful 3/31/2011

I walked in as a potential new patient. I was told I would need initial exam and x-rays as a first step. No problem. But when I asked about the possible costs associated with the treatment I was seeking (cosmetic bonding on a single tooth), I was told that was impossible to estimate. What made it worse were the reasons given, that I might have a filing in need of repair or decay that need to be addressed. The tooth in question has no filings and no decay, it's obvious. I asked if, regardless of the possibility of those other things, if I could just get the range of possible costs for cosmetic bonding on a single tooth. The lady said she couldn't give me that. Having no idea whether I might be in for an $80 procedure or an $800 procedure, I thanked her and left. Other dentists will give you an estimation of the costs of services, even over the phone. The refusal of this place to do so made me suspicious. more

Not recommended 2/17/2011

Charged for services that did not provide . Gave out misleading charge numbers after evaluation and would not let you have a copy. Dentist is great. But financial persons are not professional at all. Never had bad dental office visit anywhere before this. Very disappointed!!! more
