What was left of my teeth had been in poor condition for at least a few years, and I was getting infections more frequently. I'd seen the commercials for Aspen Dental. I chose this particular office because an old friend is the lab technician. I'm never comfortable going to a dentist. Even after going regularly. I actually had one who, as a joke, would hover over me with a syringe in his hand, and quote the line from the evil nazi dentist in The Marathon Man "Is it safe?" So, having someone in the office I knew was a HUGE benefit. After X-rays and an exam, I decided full dentures would be the best option. Truthfully, I was freaked out. My mind started racing with these horror visions. Everyone in the office understands how nervous you are about having all your teeth extracted and they do their best to calm you down. They all would take the time to answer any questions and, even though I was new, they made me feel like a regular. My only criticism is take down that (those) fairly disturbing medical charts in the exam cubicle(s) and put up some pictures of pleasant things. Seriously, having surgery and becoming a denture wearer can be more than a little scary going in and a big adjustment coming out. But when it's the best option, the nice people in this Aspen Dental office will get you through it. You'll notice I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Look at the caption for the 5th star... Nobody's gonna run to a dentist! Thanks for my smile back. Phil Balmoos
