Editorial review from Citysearch 10/15/2012

""I walked by the exterior of the store and found the Johnny Cash portraits both with paper taped over the offending fingers, which I would not find to be vulgar even if the paper was not covering the finger.\r \r Everything else was top quality art. I saw no full nudes. When I entered the store I found a vast and diverse collection of artwork including Christian-based artwork that could satisfy any taste and saw nothing that I would consider pornographic or vulgar. I told Michael Silton, the senior art consultant, about your letter to the editor about the Art Wave and he assured me that nothing of a questionable nature was ever put on the street.\r \r I have never seen a larger or better collection and selection of fine art before, and the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Silton was very friendly and has more knowledge of fine art in his pinky finger than I will ever have. I believe that your newspaper did a disservice to Art Wave putting into question their respectability in regards to their business by posting such an empty letter to the editor. Why a local newspaper would print an unsupported claim against a local business is beyond my imagination. I would recommend Art Wave to any collector of fine art.""-Mark Holland more

as an artist I painted a portrait of a lovely lady on canvas and wanted to give it to her on a special day. I thought to myself it would be to cheap of me to just give it to her as is but to make it really special and hope to make it to her wall to be every cherished I knew it need to be framed. Living in the valley out side of L.A. did not really bring up to many results for such a task but oh might google you saved me and lead me to this really awesome place. The price was right for the framing job and stretching but the sales staff was so helpful to find just the right frame for me. Going here again for my next creation! more

Best in Los Angeles for fine Art and Custom Framing 11/18/2010

This was one of the best Aesthetic experience I have had. Their wide range of Fine Art choices was what I had always hoped to find in a city that is known as one of the icons of culture. My requirements were very demanding and the whole team of their professionals got involved in my creation. The service was the best and the Art that is in my home has increased my quality of life. Every day when I walk through my home it makes me happy, to see this Art. more

Disgusting place! 8/20/2010

This place is a joke! I had a horrible experience when I went to this store. The sales person, who claims that he is an ""artist"" acted more like a sleazy used car sales man. Pressure selling of art! its so disgusting. He was dressed very unprofessionally....dirty in fact, and had a really condescending and arrogant attitude towards us, his costumers. He even had the audacity to tell us that we buying art shouldn't be cerebral....that we should shut of our brains when we pick...unbelievable. He was also pressuring us to tell him what our budget was...and that we need to be realistic within our budget and taste...how dare you! And there is a phantom ""owner"" he keeps calling about lowering the price of the art we picked. And when we tried to leave since we were already very offended, he ran after us to our car to say that the ""owner"" has given in to our price demand....i felt like i was being pressured to buy a lemon of a used car. Needless to say, I am very unhappy about the treatment I got from this store. I think that this place is a true insult to the art community... to us art lovers. more

Best Service!! 7/13/2008

I came to artwave not knowing what I wanted to put on my walls and they helped me map out exactly what I needed to know to hang the perfect paintings in my house. They even came to my home and gave me some suggestions. I am so happy with there service and prices. more

Ruined an expensive piece. 6/21/2008

I took a six foot by four foot (expensive too) 40 year old samurai move poster in to be framed. Their ""expert"" recommended an archive type of mounting that uses no glue. Well $800.00 dollars later I received a framed picture that quickly started to sag and droop and the frame distorted and the plexi-glass popped out at the top. This was the second plexi-glass as the first was cracked and chipped when I first picked the poster up.\r Now I've taken it to another framer only to find out that Art Wave used a double sided sticky tape to secure some of it and it can't be removed without damaging the poster and the tape will be obvious in the new mounting. They also tore the poster and repaired it in the back with scotch tape, so much for archiving.\r To top it off, I had taken a similar poster there before I knew all the poor workmanship and another ""expert"" advised against the type of framing they had done on the first poster. \r Unbelievable!\r Since then I have used a couple of other places in Burbank. They were both less expensive and did a much better job. Cons: There are less expensive framers that do a better job. more
