Arthur Murray's is not a good way to learn to dance, unless you've had many years of trianing. The curriculum here is meant only to promote the studio, so when my wife and I moved to a new city and started taking lessons again, we were told that we had learned many steps the wrong way and that we had developed a lot of bad habits that are difficult to break. Also, we didn't know the real names of any of the steps we had learned, because the studio has renamed almost all of them. So, you might be able to dance with your dance teacher in the studio, but in the real world, you'll be clueless. I now can't dance with anyone but my wife because I didn't learn the proper leads, and I have no idea what the steps are really called. People who are new to dancing should avoid this place.
