My experience with ARS was via AHS (American Home Shield warranty). Several times, an appointment was confirmed by the call center and hours later a distpatch dept would call and say the call center made a mistake because I was a warranty client, so I would have to wait another day and take a ""standard"" technician appointment. Then a tech with little experience would arrive and misdiagnoses the issue, or has a truck with no parts, or is not trained for this issue. After experiencing this several times, I got a HUGE run around when calling to complain as the call center manager did not want to give me a corporate contact. I tracked this down myself and got great response from corporate, as well as a trained tech named Clarence who was WONDERFUL and finally we got the issue fixed with a new evaporator coil (due to several leaks). ARS and ASH are both Service Master companies. Hope you don't have a warranty issue or you will be the least of the local company's concern unless you insist on adequate service. Coordination between ARS call center and dispatch is dismal and they ""manage each other down"". AHS staff was very responsive and pleasant to work with, but they call the companies with the worst reputations in town for warranty service.
Pros: 1 of 4 techs was wonderful, ask for Clarence! Dispatch is efficient.
Cons: Call Center is a disaster - totally confused staff. Warranty client...... good luck!
