Arrow Sanitary Svc

They are a poor excuse for any kind of service . Pay extra to have them pick up garbage and they just drive by. Not even I'm sorry and will have talk with driver just we will pick up tomorrow. Too bad we can't fire them and get waste connections to take care of. These people don't want to put a penny into service .Why should they they are bullet proof and they know it. Amazing they even pick up any garbage . All they know is collecting money, not trash What ever happened to good service ? yea it went in the trash. more

Worst utility ever. Every time I call they are always blaming everything on the city. I never had any problems with Trashco service in Portland. Now they're saying they won't start service for my new tenants because the old ones owe $46. I've never missed a payment on any rental in my life and they're going to deny starting service on new tenants who have nothing to do with the old ones instead of just tacking it onto the first bill. What a royal pain in the A. Everytime I call these people I end up frustrated. It's garbage folks, you pick it up. It's not brain surgery.\r \r Portland needs to wake up and fix this. more

We had a bill for 7 dollars, they shut down our service and dumped the garbage out of the can in-front of our house and repo'd our can's this was after 2 months of not picking up the trash so you can only imagine how that smelt. I called them 15 times, left multiple messages over the two months we had not been getting service with no reply. I waited on hold today for 25 mins to finally get ahold of someone who was semi helpful yet said we owed 57 even tho im looking at a bill dated from last week that reads 7 dollars. I wish we still had waste management northwest, I will be submitting photo's of this to the BBB this afternoon. more

I wish I had another server. The trucks are loud to the point of insanity. They obviously need replacing- sometimes sounding like the end of the world early in the morning. more

I have never dealt with a garbage company that is so inept, rude, and absolutely horrible at what should be a basic job to accomplish: picking up trash. Not only do the ""waste collectors"", um, trash men consistently manage to leave my front yard filled with debris from my trash can, 50% of the time they will not even do their job, leaving the garbage cans full until the next time they will come out, TWO WEEKS LATER, because they were too lazy to pull the a trash can around a car that may have parked in front of it. They also love to leave snarky notes behind validating the reasons why they are too lazy to remove your trash or recycling, stating that maybe a band aid or piece of tissue somehow got into the recycling bin and therefore they refuse to take it. Since when did trash men become so picky about... GARBAGE? If I had the option of going through another garbage service I would, but unfortunately, Arrow Sanitary has a monopoly over my area of Portland which I believe is illegal as well? Oscar the grouch would be ashamed of these clowns. more

As is normal early Wednesday mornings, at approximately 6:30am (broad daylight) we were awakened to the recylcing trucks from Arrow. Very close to the same time we heard the trucks we heard a loud noise, like something hitting our house. We thought it was a brid hitting a window. Within about 10 minutes of that we got out of bed and looked down on the street to see a lot of white paint randomly dispersed in the street and noticed there was some paint on the edge of our retaing wall and in our driveway. It turned out that someone threw a quart can of white house paint over our retaining wall and hit the brick front of our house. more

I was paying my bill online with auto payments, i switched bank accounts so I canceled the auto payments an wrote a check, they took the payment any way and overdrew my account, so i called them and they told me to cancel my check( that would cost more money). and the overdraw is my problem! that means that they dont give a &*^% about their customers, at my job we do everything possible to make our customers happy, (thats called customer service folks) and companies who dont care dont get any customers. and they charge an extra bag if the lid is cracked! huh, what a joke! more

There is more than a foot of snow in the John's Landing neighborhood. One after another people on our street put out their garbage and recycling bins, following the leaders, while on some neighboring streets not a single bin can be seen. It seems some were right and some were wrong. Did the others hear something we didn't? Has our pickup been postponed? and until when? more

Arrow Sanitary, part of a waste management conglomerate, has replaced Trashco for residential service in SE Portland as of Oct. 1, 2008. more
