I recommend... 9/1/2010

fair price and depending on the season you get flowers and birds outside.my friend and I both rented a room there and it was good we had a livving room and kitchen to use.there was also a gazeebo with a large screen tv that played movies.the swiming area wasnot even two minute walk away. I recomend arnotts lodge for those on a budget or those that don't stay in all day long. more

Fantastic time! 8/30/2010

I was fortunate enough to stay at Arnotts Lodge for 4 nights this month and had a fantastic time! The rates are extremely fair, lovely staff that make you feel part of the ohana (Hawaiian family) and knowledgeable and enthusiastic adventure guides.? more

A professionally run, superfriendly place 8/25/2010

Great staff, location, washing facilities for clothes and people, just the best camping we had in all the 4 Hawaiian islands we camped at on this trip. Super staff, we were lucky and even got Avocados straight from the tree for breakfast! A professionally run, superfriendly place that should get more people both for the rooms as well as camping they offer. more

I would go back to Arnott's again 8/23/2010

We took one of the in-house tours up to the volcano and it was excellent with Mike the guide giving us plenty of information and bubbling over with enthuisiasm for Hawaii, the environment and it's people. I would go back to Arnott's again and would recommend it to friends. more

Nice quiet location 8/18/2010

Had a fantastic time, great place to chill out and relax, nice quiet location, 5 minute walk from the coastline, 20minute walk or free hourly busride into Hilo town more

He made the group feel like ""Ohana"" (family). Ikaika was knowledgable in Hawaiiana and shared a lot of fact with the group. He made the tour fun and I highly recommend this tour. more

I wanted to send a very overdue THANK YOU for everything the Arnott's team did to enhance our stay. We were the group of 14 cyclists who invaded you at the start and end of our fabulous Big Island tour between Oct 9 and 20. You have such a unique property that provides a remarkable place to stage such an adventure. During our previous (5?) stays my husband and I have never been there on a Saturday night, so to enjoy TWO beer and pizza nights was a real unexpected treat. To be able to deliver our bikes and store our boxes was customer service truly befitting the Aloha spirit. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when in Hilo. -Sheila and Russ more

On behalf of all the students, we would like to say a big thank you for your generous hospitality yet again. The tour was fantastic - the students really enjoyed Roberts commentary. The students left some small gifts at the reception office. We hope to visit again next year.Thank you! more

Wonderful Staff 7/29/2010

The staff was wonderful!! The tours to Volcanoes Park and Mauna Kea were breathtaking. Rental bikes really came in handy for a ride downtown. Movie theater was fantastic! more

good for traveler on a budget 7/26/2010

excellent for the traveler on a budget. Me and my sister stayed here before. We went on two different tours and they were very well ran. This is a good way to meet people and make your trip more lively more
