There's a lot of competition for the best meat and three in Nashville, but my vote goes to Arnold's. I can't give it a "Perfect" rating, though, because there's not enough seating, and I really hate standing there with my tray looking at my delicious food without being able to eat it til someone gives up their seat.
That's the only complaint I have. The food is great. It's the closest thing to my grandma's cooking that I've found anywhere. It's a basic setup; you stand in line with your tray and slide down the food line like you're back in the school cafeteria. Arnold is usually there in a bandanna carving his fantastic roast beef. The gravy from the roast beef with their REAL mashed potatoes is heavenly. Everything is made southern-style, so the vegetables actually have flavor.
I'd give you some advice about when to go and avoid the crowd, but I have no idea. As far as I know, it's always crowded.
