For someone who has worked at the St Anthonys Urgent Care in Arnold everyones care is going to be different. Our staff is always courteous to peoples needs and alot of us treat children like if it were our own. For the woman who was disatisfied with her sons care with a Kidney Disease: Our doctors are very knowledgable, but WE ARE NOT A FAMILY PRACTICE. They are not aware of extensive medical history, and ARE NOT going to perform tons of tests for something that has the symptoms of the flu. That is why it is always important to see your actual physician if they are available. All of our Urgent Cares are well equipped for handling stitches, earaches, sore throats, sinusitis, small injuries, and injections. We are not the type of place that you go if you are having chest pains, child is nonresponsive, drug overdoses, head injuries, severe abdominal pain or a mangled limb. You have to use a smart judgement and realize that we are a step up from the doctors office but still NOT an ER.\r
You also cannot expect to have service with in just 10 mintues and be right back out. We are only equipped with a certain number of people. Everyone has to be registered, be taken to a room, have vitals performed, be seen by the nurse, have what ever labs done that need to be assessed, then seen by the doctor. This is NOT fast food service. \r
Usually the people who write the bad reviews are the ones who expected to be in and out and dont remember that things happen. We have people who come in with a MAJOR MEDICAL problem and have to be dealt with ASAP and sent off in an ambulance. This causes all operations to slow down and longer wait times. People also get upset because they are not given the pain meds that they want or think that they are the only ones here.
