Best

We have a big family meal here a couple of times a year. The bread rolls are outstanding as is the service. The happy hour could be beefed up a bit - but the dinner menu is enormo...

Worst

We visited this Armando's a few weeks ago. This was our third time at this location to eat. We were told our wait would be fifteen minutes. We sat and waited. We started to notice...

Good food with an authentic flavor. 11/8/2013

Good food with an authentic flavor. Spaghetti noodles a bit on the thick side. Meatballs great! Fun staff, very helpful. Restaurant with a history. more

WE WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE 11/5/2011

We had gone to Armondo's often. Some friends of ours had said that the owner can be kind of a jerk, but we had never had much to do with him until our last visit. Now I will never return. \r Four of us were seated at a table for six, with two more people joining us as soon as they parked their car. But soon after we were seated, the owner spotted that we had two empty seats at our table and came over and started started yelling at us about the fact that two of our party were not yet present and told us we had to leave the table.\r \r This guy made this big yelling scene in front of my kids, and it upset the whole family. \r \r Life is just too short to put up with that kind of gruff, from angry people like that. more

Poor Customer Service - Food Average at Best 9/28/2011

We were there for happy hour and the waiter did not put our order in time for the pricing. We asked to get the pricing corrected and the owner REFUSED to. Our food was delivered to the wrong table and we were double billed for that also. This place has no customer service, staff is slow and the food is average at best. \r \r Save your money - not worth the pain. more

REAL Italian! Out of the way - but worth the trip 6/13/2011

We have a big family meal here a couple of times a year. The bread rolls are outstanding as is the service. The happy hour could be beefed up a bit - but the dinner menu is enormous and all the dishes delicious! more

Perfect for Datenight 3/11/2011

My husband and I went here for a datenight and found it to be a very lovely place. We had to wait for like 20 minutes to be seated because it was very busy but well worth the wait. We were treated wonderfully by our waiter and he served us an additional basket of yummy rolls after we devoured the first. We ordered the prima vera pizza and it was delicious. We felt we were in a very upscale place. Sometimes the chefs would be singing loud Italian songs while they cooked and we loved that! I reccomend this place to anyone! more

Picky eater LOVES IT!! 11/5/2010

I originally went in to add this to a LONG list of Italian restaurants that are 'wanabeez' \r \r I walked in wanting to beef up on my Italian, and eat. They welcomed me with open arms. \r \r I love family operated restaurants. Menu was decent, full of things for everyone, including my picky kids... \r \r It also was very reasonably priced (and I watch every penny!) \r \r Food was made the Italian way - which, UNLIKE the chain restaurants, did NOT give me heartburn or indigestion!\r \r I liked it so much I made my sweetie take me the next week.\r \r Went in as a customer, left as a family member! I'm through checking out Italian restaurants. I will eat here until I die!!! more

Ignore Negative Reviews from Coloradans 2/3/2010

If you are the typical Coloradan who thinks EYE-TAL-YEN food is overcooked spaghetti smothered in undercooked red meat sauce, go to Denny's. If you understand real Italian Cuisine and the concept of taking the time to dine as an experience of food, ambience, and care- Armando's is the place to enjoy a nice range of Italian provincial foods. But if you just wanna strap on the ole feed bag and fuel up for 12 minutes like most Coloradans who don't know any better, stay away so the rest of us can enjoy Armando's. Pros: Real Italian Cuisine, well prepared, variety Cons: Wish it was closer, but it's well worth the 25 min drive more

Dissappointed 9/29/2009

I waited between 5-10 minutes after I was seated for the server to show up at my table-and the restaurant was not busy. I was surprised to learn that an ""Italian Salad"" was just lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers (the menu did not offer the benefit of a description) and that ""Balsamic Vinagerette"" was oil and vinegar. My salad was totally lacking in flavor, not even the chicken was seasoned. The server did not come to my table until I was almost finished, and then asked ""is everything still good?""! If he had checked on me right after my meal was served, he could have at least brought me some parmesan for my Italian Salad. Pros: food was fresh Cons: service was lacking, and so was the flavor more

Great food but awful service 4/7/2009

We visited this Armando's a few weeks ago. This was our third time at this location to eat. We were told our wait would be fifteen minutes. We sat and waited. We started to notice other parties coming in and sitting in the bar. When the owner would see them (his friends), he would come over, kiss them and take them to a table. He was letting his friends be seated before the rest of the people waiting for a table. My father confronted him. The owner stated they had reservations. My father then went over to the hostess, and noticed our name was at the top of the list with numerous names crossed off below. The hostess stated the owner does this often. She apologized for what happened. As we were leaving as we no longer wanted to eat at the restaurant, the owner continued to argue with us. Pros: Wonderful italian food Cons: Terrible service (Owner's nose out of joint) more
