I used to order pizza from this place all the time. It was just the greatest. I been in the new place twice. The building is much larger and fancier. They have a huge menu compaired to the old days. I had spaghetti and hade there pizza too. The pizza was good as always but I was not impressed with the spaghetti. The sauce needed more spices. more

I miss the old menu 4/9/2011

Armondo's was the only Italian restaurant I would go to. Their specialty dishes like Chicken Armondo, Chicken Picatta, and Salmon Ravioli could be had only there. Now it is no better than any other Italian restaurant.\r \r Not worth another visit until they bring back some of the old favorites. more

New menu is wonderful 8/7/2010

Had dinner there last night. While we miss some of our old favorites, the new menu will bring us there more often. Try either chicken entre. Both are wonderful. Also the broschetta. You can create your own breschetta mix from a selection of several. \r \r We understand the ingredients are primarily local which is a plus to us. There are many Italian food places in the area but this choice is a good one. more

Great Family Owned Restaurant 10/21/2009

Armondo's uses only the freshest and best ingredients, and the quality of their food shows it. This is local family run restaurant with great food and great service. The bar has an awesome happy hour, make sure to ask for the menu! And the best part for Sounders fans is flat screen TV's showing the games! Pros: Great Happy Hour, Great Food, Great Service Cons: Hard to find more

Best Italian in Renton 6/8/2008

We went to dinner recently at Armondo's and had a wonderful evening. Our server Dana was pleasant, informative and very prompt with her service. They gave us bread with olive oil & balsomic to start with, what a nice touch. The server suggested their calamari, how wonderful it was, it was a steak instead of rings. It came with 3 sauces that went great with it. I had the eggplant, my husband had the lamb shank. Both dishes we mouth watering. The lamb was so tender it just fell off of the bone served with a wonderful flavoral sauce and yukon potaoes. For dessert we had tiramisu, which was made there at the restaurnat and you could tell, it was so fresh and tastey. We both would highly recommend this restaurant. We dine out alot and found everthing to be of high quality from the olive oil to the lamb shank including the staff. Even the manager (sherrie) stopped by the table to see how our evening was. They just plain miss,,, 5/25/2008

From the bogus salads, to the pile of slop lasagna, (with what may have been cheddar cheese on top?) to the tomato sauce that has canned mushrooms and bell peppers in it, to the snooty service, to the classless dining room, they just miss. I for some reason, have been there 3 times for nothing more than the lack of anywhere else to go in Renton,, but this was the last time for sure. Reminds me of olive garden. I'm saddened to read the good reviews because I guess my neighbors in Renton just don't know what good Italian food is, or more importantly,, means. The cheap pomace garbage olive oil they gave me to dip my bread in was simply an insult and our server told us they had just switched to ""cheaper, lower quality oil"" because of high food cost? Best Italian restaurant in Renton, excellent and ample food, moderate prices 5/22/2008

The restaurant has long held the title of best Italian restaurant in Renton, and it is no wonder. The food is excellent and is provided in such quantity that customers frequently ask for a doggie box to take the remainder of dinner home with them. Prices are also noticably moderate. We went Armondos, and the food was very good. I would highly recommend the Chicken Armondo. It is to die for. Also the wait staff was nice and helpful. The drinks were well made. It is a lovely little surprise in Renton!! more

Even good takeout 11/30/2007

I went with my co-workers a while back and thought the food was great! The chicken was tender, the pasta wasn't overcooked, and even the salad was tasty (great dressing, too). I even ordered the salmon to take home to my husband and HE thought it was great...and he's picky when it comes to seafood. The previous reviewer obviously did not read their menu, though. Caesar salads MAY be substituted, but it DOES state on the menu that there is an additional charge. My solution? If in doubt, ask. Pros: Decent service, good food Cons: Parking more

What Service!!! Don't get the salad!!! There's hidden fees 11/7/2007

The Service was slow. I ordered the lunch special and was asked which I would rather have Soup or salad and I said What the choices are and they told me all the choices. So I picked Ceasar and they charged me extra at the end. I complained about it and they would not take it off my bill. Soup or Salad comes with the lunch !!! I think they forgot their own menu. I will never return there more

Customer service with a twist 10/18/2006

Ate there for the first time and wasn't impressed with the customer service or meal.\r The wait staff was friendly but our main waitress never returned to the table once the main course was served. The meal was OK at best but overpriced for what we were served. When did spaghetti and meatballs start costing $15? more

Awesome 10/6/2006

Excellent! Much improved. Armondo's has a new menu and it's great! Different dishes that our family and friends really enjoyed. A bit pricey on some, and a bit small on the pasta dishes, but otherwise, the taste has improved. The before meal free bread is new and much, much better. The bread has herbs, olive oil, and a fantastic taste to it. Loved it. Visit this restaurant soon. I believe its popularity is returning. Cons: Bread before dinner; service; bar offerings more

Over priced under cooked 7/17/2006

Some times places that look bad are good and some times places that look \r intresting are horrid. I had a chicken dish were the chicken was both rubbery and tasteless\r not to mention the 4.50 salad. The garlic and oil is not bad, but the bread is day old at best\r Other then that it was ok more

We went to Armondo's for the first time, it's moved around the corner from its old spot. I love the ambience - it's very stylish and pretty. The food was really good, I had a calzone and husband had the salmon fettuccini. Service was great, the hostess was very nice and friendly and our waitress was also friendly and knowledgeable. It was really crowded, we sat in the bar while we waited for a table. But once we got seated, service was very prompt. Pros: Service, Food, Ambience Cons: Crowded more

overpriced for mediocre food 6/10/2005

The food at Armondo's is OK at best. We've stopped eating there because the prices are so high for what you get. It's Italian fast-food quality - everything tastes like it's out of a box or a can. I expect more for my money. Pros: location, fast Cons: overpriced more
