Arigato Japanese Steak & Seafood House

If you have never gone to a Japanese restaurant, why not start by going to the best....ARIGATOS!!! My husband and I go there often and we are never disappointed! Everyone on the staff are friendly and attentive! The chefs are just as friendly and attentive as well, while they are also very entertaining! I can't say enough good things about Arigatos! The food is fabulous!!! You need to try it IMMEDIATELY!!! more

we double dated this past friday night and had a wonderful time at arigatos. the food is unlike any other you will find at a japanese restaurant. it is all prepared in front of you. you can sit amongst your friends or get to know the other guests you sit with. the cooks are personable and know exactly how to prepare your food. they put on a great show as well. i highly recommend you try the house salad dressing. its the best thing ive ever had! i wish they would bottle it! they have a sushi bar if that interests you. the vegetable tempura is awesome!! i have been many times over the years and have never had anything to complain about and i always leave with a box of leftovers! more

We have enjoyed eating at Arigato for many years. We have celebrated almost every special occasion there. In fact the last big celebration was with all four of my son's and girl friends. What made it special was my soldier son being here on R&R. He couldn't go back to Afghanistan without eating the best Japanese food around. We have tried both locations (Greensboro and Winston) and either location is AWESOME! We visited just two weeks ago and as always the wait was very minimum, the service was great. Our chef was very entertaining and our waitress did an excellent job of keeping our beverages topped off. Thank you for continuous, great service. I highly recommend to all my friends. \r more

This restaurant is the best Japanese restaurant to go to in Greensboro! I have 2 small children and they are always really good with them. The chefs are consistently respectful and understanding of the fact that they are afraid of the large fire, so they warn us ahead of time. The rest of the staff is always nice to them and interacts with them instead of acting like they aren't there, or that they are an inconvenience, like other restaurants do. As a mother who includes my children in meals out more often than not, it is HUGE that my children be treated well. \r \r The food is always good - I have never been disappointed!! And the price is reasonable considering what you get and quality of it and the service. Unlike other comparable restaurants, I don't feel like I'm being rushed out the door from the moment I walk in. I have been eating at Arigatos for probably about 15 years. It is honestly one of my favorite resturants in Greensboro. The food, service, and atmosphere has always been wonderful. The prices are competitive and often cheaper than any of its competitors and the food is better and the portions are always larger. I always find something I enjoy on the monthly specials. more

This is the best Japanese restuarant in the Triad area...either the Greensboro location or the Winston Salem location. I have ate at both locations. The atmosphere and service have always been top notch when ever my family and I go. The food has always been great and had great seasoning and cooked the way that you request it. I do not get to go as often as I used to since I have moved about 1.5 hours away but when ever I am in the area I make sure to go and eat there. If you have never been you definitely need to stop and eat. more

This resturant is absolutely Wonderful!!! I try to go to Arigato's at least every few weeks. I live in the Raleigh area and a few years ago was staying in Greensboro for work. A friend and I decided to go to Arigato's for dinner. She had been there before but I had not. I absolutely feel in love with the food and the staff. I now drive 1 hour so that I can eat Japanese food instead of going to any of the ones in Raleigh. All of the staff that I have had I have never had any problems with. The food has great seasoning and has always been cooked the way that I want it. I will say on the weekends if you do not have a reservation you could wait a while before you are seated but the food and service is definitely worth the wait. more

This is by far my favorite restaurant at the moment. Each time I have been there the services was excellent. I have never had to wait 15 minutes past my reservation time. The shrimp appetizer is delicious as well as the entree. I would suggest the chicken and shrimp entree. Oh yeah definitely try the white sauce. I am not sure what the ingredients are ( mayo, etc.) but it good on everything that they serve. more

I ate at the restaurant on Wednesday night, February 25th 2009. The website states, ?If you think all Japanese steakhouses are the same, you?ll think differently after dining with us.? I do think differently of Arigato after dining there. Unfortunately, my thoughts are not positive. After waiting to be seated some 30 minutes past our reservation time, our chef was rude, sullen and homerless. He made no attempt to provide guest at the table with even a minimal show but instead, went through the preparations with rote movements that resulted in a lackluster meal. more

Arigato has great food if you are willing to pay $15 a plate. The service makes the $15 not worth it. I once went and the waitress took forever to fill up my water glass. I just wasn't that impressed. more

I love going to Arigato, but it is a MUST to have reservations. The wait is almost always an hour or more if you don't have a reservation. Their food is delicious and the portion sizes are far superior to other Japanese restaurants in the area. The price is comparable, and even slightly less expensive than other similar restaurants. It's a blast watching the chef's cook the food on the table in front of you - perfect entertainment at the table! As far as Japanese restaurants go, this place is great! The food is wonderful, the staff is excellent and they always make sure I have an excellent experience. The pricing is extremely good compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area. I highly recommend the scallops! more

This is my girlfriends favorite place. It was my first Japanese experience and it was great. The amount they give you is reason enough to smile. To start you get a soup consisting of noodles, mushrooms and broth. Then a side salad with choice of dressing. Next, an appetizer of shrimp. Then they give you your fried rice with vegetables. Then finally, you entree. You will leave satisfied I promise. The price...not the cheapest. For 2 you will pay close to 40 dollars, very close. I recommend the steak and chicken (my usual) and especially the white sauce. Good eats.... more
