Aria Skin & Laser Spa

The technician who did the laser did not even feel competent, I should have left right away but I let her do the spider veins on my face. She did nothing to cool the face before or after and I had huge leaking blisters on my face before I even made it home. She got rid of the spider veins but I now have craters where the blisters were. more

Laser hair removal didn't work (hair too light), but no refund. The manager is an odd duck and not at all customer-focused. I feel I was cheated. more

I went in for a facial and eyebrow wax and learned about the lasers and teeth whitening while I was there! I'm so excited that I can finally not shave my legs if I get the laser hair removal done. The staff was so kind and really knew their stuff. I plan on going back soon~ I highly recommend this spa more

I had started having my back lasered when I was in Florida. I couldn't believe how much it hurt. I was a bit nervous to try it again, but I want the hair off my back. I had a treatment at Aria and it was like night and day. I still can't say it was a good feeling, but It didn't hurt half as bad as the other laser I used before. Beth, the lady who did the service really seemed to know what she was doing. I am not afraid of the laser anymore. more

The staff has always been friendly and knowledgeable and the spa is very neat and clean. It is a more relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere than most spas in the triangle and my skin has never looked better. more

I have been bothered by my skin looking tired and muddled lately so I decided to have a day at the spa and went to Aria Skin Spa. I set up a microdermabrasion/facial and a massage and was very excited by the change one treatment had on my skin. The staff was very knowledgeable and experienced and they made me feel so comfortable and special. When I left, I just had a really good feeling about the day. I have been using some of the products they recommended and I can tell that my skin is healthier and looks much better after only a week. more

Last week I had a microderm abrasion treatment with Beth. Loved it. The staff there made me feel right at home, and were happy to answer any questions about after care and what to expect during the treatment. My skin looks and feels silky smooth and years younger. Beth explained that it is a light exfoliation that enhances natural collagen which is why my skin is healthier. For the price, $85; it's the best deal in town, and I will definitely be back, with bells on more

Although I've not been to another spa in this area, I really like Aria, and will continue to go there. more

I have been going to Aria since they opened probably about 6 years ago or so. The prices are way high, the owner is a horrible businessman (no appreciation for customer loyalty) and very weird but Toni, the aesthetician, keeps me coming back. There has been a lot turn over with everyone there it seems and the receptionists that Vernon decides to hire are each worse than the last. If it weren't for Toni I wouldn't keep going back, her quality of services are far superior to any I have received anywhere in the area. more

I went here a few weeks ago for a massage, and the way I was treated by the man there - seems to be the owner - was the WORST!! I've never written a review before, but since I'm still so bothered by him, I decided to warn others. I went in w/ a gift cert. I got from my mother's condo sale. I had forgotten to verify it online first, so told the girl I would come back another time after doing so. Immediately a man came flying out of a back office and proceeded to BERATE me, argue that I must have my massage anyway, intimidate me, and practically not let me leave! I've never been treated so poorly in any establishment. There is something seriously wrong with this horrible man. I don't know if he is just cheap and pushy in the extreme, or a common bully, but I won't be going back for any more abuse. Anyway, the place looked outdated and the carpet was stained and gross. No Thanks! more

I called to try to make an appt today. I asked about prices of a couple treatments. She did not know and then put me on hold for 5 minutes while she looked - she still couldn't help me. Isn't there a menu of services there? If she doesn't know, why is she answering the phone? The people at the desk sound like brand new employees who have no idea what they are doing. **Note to owners: Hire more competent people. Get more phone lines. And don't charge such high prices for a "spa" in a strip mall. more

It's been several weeks, but this experience is worth sharing in a bad way. I'd had four facials at Aria. Obviously, I was happy with their aestheticians. However, my last visit was such a train wreck I have to write them off. I had spoken to the receptionist (of course) when making the appointment and told her I wasn't sure whether I wanted the same facial I'd had before. She asked me if I wanted some time to consult with the aesthetician beforehand. I said, yes, that sounded good. Although I now live 45 minutes from Aria, I called ahead that morning to make sure I had the best route from where I live now. and showed up on time. When I arrived, I sat down with the aesthetician, who ten minutes later--after telling me to some basic skin dos and don'ts--was ready to send me on my way. I was flabbergasted. I'm having a facial, I told her. I had also said the same thing to the receptionist when I made the appointment (of course) and that morning on the phone (turns out it was the same receptionist) and when I walked in. Bad enough, right? Not quite. To make matters worse, the receptionist treated me like so much dirt. Dialing her manager but asking me three times in increasingly withering tones, "So, you want something for free?" I told her each time calmly that I didn't want any such thing, but did want to express my frustration and disappointment. She couldn't provide me with his working hours or a phone number besides the salon's. I tried reasoning with her; asking her why I would want to have a ten-minute initial consult when I had had several facials there. We had discussed this when I made the appointment, and I had described to her how my skin had changed since the last. Anyway, each time she attempted her manager, huffing disgustedly, she was interrupted by another phone call, which she took, which had me standing around feeling crestfallen and foolish for another 20 minutes (with a bad of my cosmetics which she'd recommended I bring to show the facialist (but which there was definitely no time for). Meanwhile I was wondering what I would do with a wasted day and no chance of getting a facial until the following weekend anywhere else. I asksed if she could possibly look up a phone number for me online, since my iPhone was being fixed. Nope, we're not allowed to do that, she said. The last straw was when she insinuated that I didn't really live as far away as I was saying I did (since I used to live in Durham). THE PITS! Plus, at least one of the aestheticians I liked has left. more
