aqua hut is my favorite store, by no means is it the closest to where i live but id rather go there any day. the staff knows what they are talking about and are very helpful, they have the best prices especially on live rock. i am on my second reef tank and i wouldnt buy my fish or accessories anywhere else Pros: very knowledgable great prices more

I feel like these 2 reviews are inaccurate. I go to Aquahut all the time, the people that work there, and the owner are always curteous to me, and the selection is incomparable... Pros: selection, price, smart workers, consistantcy, open late Cons: nothing I can think of more

i hate how they take care of some of theyre fish i spent 40 dollars on two fresh water lobsters they are semi agressive and i did some research online and it said that a fresh water lobster should have 20 gallons of water per a lobster. when i went to the store theyre was at least 50 lobsters in a tank. when i got my male freshwater lobster he was missing two legs, i was pissed off like you wouldn't believe. i also got a neon geromumi (i dont remeber the exact name or how its spelled.) but when i got home and examined the fish he had half a tail. WTF i am pissed off beyond believe. this ten dollar fish is endanger of death and has a hard time eatting. if you are going to buy from this store i ask you please to make sure everything is ok with your fish before you but it. Went in there to buy some supplies, food and fish. The staff was very rude. It is not very clean, I noticed a lot of dead fish in the tanks. I have since been to country crittersin Patchogue and Suffolk County Fish and Reef in Ronkonkoma. They were both very helpful and had a great selection. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time, go to a reputable store. Also Brians Aquarium in Rocky Point is good too. oh yea I almost forgot... Try calling their number - never anyone there or a fax picks up ???? Cons: Rude more
