April Pastries

I've been meaning to write this review for quite some time now, run don't walk to April Cakes! I have been a loyal patron of this cakery, for a little over 3 years now. Each time I have walked in, I have gotten nothing but excellent service, this establishment is definitely clean, fast, professional and above all DELICIOUS! I have 2 favorites, the traditional ""3 leches and their Orange flavor"". Their orange flavor literally tastes like an orange creamsicle. Yum!! I have used them for birthdays, anniversaries and family get togethers. I have been 100% pleased each and every single time. These guys are awesome. more

Don't be fooled by their cake samples. The final product done not compare. I've seen similar reviews so it's not just me. They are rude when it's time to pick up the cake and they are always late. I have been there two times thinking that the horrible experience the first time was just a fluke, but NO, second time was even worse. They are friendly when you go to order and pay but down right rude and when you have to pick up the cake… I had a 12pm pick up time. Showed up at 12:15pm thinking I would give them a little extra time- I left the place at 2:30pm!!! and that's after having to hear them tell me me that I was inpatient and that I was complaining too much. You make me wait 2 hours you’re going to get an ear-full. WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. Not worth the trouble. more

This bakery has quick service and friendly staff. The cakes are absolutely delicious! Flavors vary from Chocolate to Pina Colada, and even Guava to name a few! The cake bread is moist, the filling is fresh, and the frosting is a light cream that's never too sweet. A variety of cake flavors are always readily available for last minute birthday surprises or random cake cravings. The only downside about readily available cakes is that all of them have the same decor of blue, pink, and yellow roses, but it never hurts to ask how soon a cake can be customized upon request. As of August 1st, 2008, a cake for 10 people was about $25, and a cake for 10 with custom decoration was $35. more
