They did respond fairly quickly on a Saturday. We knew we just needed a new ignition, but it was Saturday and everything was closed. They showed up and quoted $300.00 and could no...

I called Applewood because I had heard good things to fix my AC. Long story short, the cost charged to insulate a pipe and replace 2 lbs. of coolant was over $400!!! The worst part is that their ""repair"" still did not fix the problem! I had another company out afterward and they quoted a cost of 1/2 the price and fixed the issue that Applewood failed to do. Additionally, when I requested to speak to a manager at Applewood Plumbing to address the issue my calls were never returned. Outrageous pricing, shoty repair service and lousy customer service! I will NOT use them again. more

Very Professional and Reliable Company 7/29/2011

I am a new member of the annual service plan with this company. Today a plumber insepected my entire home and completed a tune-up with my shower system; everything else in the home was okay. He also inspected the water pressure. Then, an air conditioning expert inspected my central air conditioning system. He changed my filter and told me what to watch for in the future because my unit is becomeing old. Both of these men were very professional and friendly. Both services were covered by the cost of my annual service plan. It's a real piece of mind knowing everything is up to par. I will keep using this company for all my plumbing and air conditioning needs. more

Know what they're doing BUT 7/26/2011

These people are way overpriced. Replaced blower motor on furnace. Part costs no more that $200 retail. Time to fix 90 minutes, total charged $1200!!!! If I would have only known beforehand. One site says they work on commission. No hourly rate quoted or parts cost, just lump sum. Should've smelled a rat. 1st and last time. more

Furnace Check 7/22/2011

Based on my past experience with Applewood I called regarding a furnace check. Normally I have my furnace checked yearly by the original installers, but this year that company seemed a bit late on getting around to advising when they would be available. I prefer to have my furnace checked in the late summer rather than after winter starts. more

Courteous, fast and competent 7/22/2011

I had to move an outside spigot for my garden hose. The technician was right on time, and rightfully suggested some changes to my existing plumbing. The suggestions made the system better, and he did them right away. more

Communication and great service 7/18/2011

Applewood was scheduled to show up at 2:00 to 4:00 on one of the earliest 90 degree days this spring. The technician was late, but i received phone calls from dispatch to let me know. when Bob showed up he informed me on everything he was doing and even gave me money-saving advice. Applewood waived the service charge for being late, and gave me great service. Would definitely use Applewood again. more

Best Service Ever 7/18/2011

Called early morning Monday to very happyand friendly, helpful receptionist who got me an appointment the same day. I was called 20 min before arrival and tech was on time, very business like getting right to the job. Quickly identified the problem and repaired it and gave me helpful suggestions to watch for. He was very friendly and did a great job. I highly recommend this company and would certainly call them again for a future issue. more

electrical, plumbing and HVAC all in one! 7/18/2011

My neighbor recommended Applewood when he had some electrical issues and my regular HVAC guy had retired so I decided to give them a call. I was blown away by their efficiency, ability to been seen in a timely manner and their cost. The level of service is extremely high but I don't feel like I'm being robbed. To date I've used them to service my furnace, replace a dead ignitor at midnight on a Sunday, fix my electric breaker after a lightling strike and today, fix my shower. They have a 2 hr window which they actually stick to (Hello Comcast.. you might want to give it a try).. and the guys are universally nice and professional. No scary dudes at the door.. just what you need when your heating has gone out in Feb at midnight.. I cann;t recommend them enough. more

I am a handy guy, but i don't do plumbing or electricity. Jobs that hide behind walls scare me. As I remodel our master bath I need the fittings replumbed. Ken spent the entire day refitting and fixing the problems created by the contractor 30 years ago. more

Fast, prompt, efficient 7/12/2011

I was impressed with how quickly I was able to get my job done. We had a water leak, I called first thing in the morning and I had a plumber at my door shortly after 9:00. I was given an exact quote before the work was done, and an estimate of how long it would take. Everything was right on. The work was completed well, in the time frame quoted and my water problems were solved. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family. more

The most prompt, friendly, knowledgeable company I've dealt with since purchasing my home! My airconditioner was broken on one of the hottest days of the year, which happened to be a weekend, I called, they scheduled me for THAT day and showed up without charging an extra fee for weekend hours. more

Great air conditioning repair service! 7/9/2011

After returning home after being out of town, we discovered that our central air conditioning was not cooling our house properly... So, I called Applewood and they sent a technician out within a couple of hours on a Saturday morning. Our technician, Bob, was very professional, friendly, and exuded ""customer service"" that is rare these days. He quickly diagnosed the problem, gave us a concise estimate, and repaired the AC problem within an hour. I felt that the cost for the service and repairs was extremely reasonable, especially given the quick response time on a weekend. Many thanks to Bob and all of the fine folks at Applewood. I will definitely call again and recommend Applewood for all of our future HVAC, plumbing, and electrical needs! more

Best Customer Service in ages 7/6/2011

Looking for quotes on replacing a rusting water heater, took the time discuss in depth most options, explained each, talked about pros and cons of the style I wanted to go with, did not discourage me from going my way, just gave the info, I appreciate that!! Pre Call by the company was great, the post call was quick, he hadnt even left the driveway before they called. Loved it. more
