Applebee's

I ordered lunch curbside for the first time. Service was good and the waitress was prompt and very nice. I ordered the new soup and salad they advertise for $5.99 all you can eat. I know you can't get all you can eat curbside, but I was at least expecting a salad larger than McDonalds. It was the Caesar salad. While good, there wasn't much there. The French Onion soup was delicious. I'll go back, but I will eat there if I'm going to order soup and salad. more

I have eaten at this specific applebees with my family for several years now but have never encountered the situation in which I did on my daughters 7th bday. I tried making a reservation early in the day for the family get together but was told they don't take reservations. Even with a family member getting there early, we still were not seated for nearly an hour. By the time we actually had been seated at least 9 other party's had been seated that had arrived after us. After the pure boredom of our 1 year old son finally kicked in & numerous loops throughout the restaurant to keep our son calm we finally had to suggest to the hostess that we would take one of the nearly 9 tables available but would be willing to sit separately from two others in our party, right across from us of course. After finally being seated, we still had an issue with the shortminded hostess who didn't have the intelligence to get my daughter, who was having a bday party, a kids menu. When asked to get a kids menu she told us they didn't have any & that my 7 year old needed to order off the regular menu. This was unacceptable but was soon taken care by our server Anthony. Even after all the frustration of having to wait for so long, I would have to say received the best service from a waiter/waitress at this restaurant in nearly 7 years of living in St. Charles. The manager also was kind enough to take care of treating our family to some complimentary appetizers & desserts which helped with this horrid experience that I would never want to endure again. Thanks again to Anthony, he turn the whole night around with amazing service, not only did I enjoy his service tonight, I will be requesting to be seated in his section from now on when I go. more

The new menu and the food choices are great. I've had pretty good service when we visit, even during rush times. Would recommend to friends looking for a low price meal with some healthy menu choices. more

After experiencing sub par service on a previous occasion we made the mistake of going there again for a quick business lunch with some visiting from out of town consultants. And low and behold even worse service. The four of us were there at about 2pm, well after the lunch rush, and the place was fairly empty. We had to request refills on our tea?s and even once one of our guest got up and refilled his own beverage from a nearby cart with pitchers of tea because he was tired of waiting. Waited for a take home box for about forever. Then once we finally were able to coax the check from him we waited and waited for our server to come take our card to ring us out. Finally we had to go disturb him from his staring off into space to do so. Cons: Poor Service more
