Applebee's Grill & Bar

I have been to many different Applebee's and this one has to be the worst. I don't expect a culinary masterpiece from this place but just some basic ok food and service would be nice. I think that the problem must be with the management. They obviously do not demand high quality from their employees. My big pet peeve with this place has been with being carded. I look young so I always expect to be carded but on a few occasions here I was carded twice. I felt like it was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. I've never been carded twice at any other restaurant I go to. What happens is that I order a drink, the waiter or waitress takes a look at my ID, then a manager comes out and asks for it again. It has happened more than once, but only here and no where else. That's why I don't think the problem is with my ID, which is current and legit.The management here needs some new training. more

The waitress was nice. NOW the cook, they need one. The guy or gal does not know the difference between medium and well done. I think they must boil their steaks and then through them on the grill to give them marks. They also added a pesto sauce but it was so pickled with salt the waitress had to alert the cook after 4 complaints from guests. They also keep serving drunks even if they are loud and start verbal fights with other guests (god forbid they call the cops). The fries were cold and wrinkled. My wife had the riblets and they were burned. Dessert- we left and went some place else. more
