I know the title makes little sense: But it will in a minute. We went to ABC after work for a farewell drink for a coworker of ours. We had good service. We only ordered apps....

Fun Atmosphere 2/19/2008

Enjoyed lunch with Friends here. Its in an old converted warehouse, ceiling are high so it can get rather loud but very neat motiff. It didn't take long to get seated and the food was great. I was expecting plain old bar food but found the menu to have much more extensive menu. Love going to places where you can try new things - so sampling of their beers that they make on the premises was fun. Service was good. The only problem I had was finding a parking space in their small lot. more

I Love Pennypacker Porter! 2/7/2008

I really like this place and go almost every time I am in town. ABC has some really great beers and good food to go with them! The wait staff is very friendly and happy to be there. You really don't see that too often (maybe they get to drink on the job??). I really recommend this place if you are looking for some local flavor and a good beer to sip while you chat with your friends. more

Good food, good beer - good bet.... 7/24/2006

Stopped in here while in town for work - good food, lots of regulars around on a Tuesday. Sat a the bar had the baggers n' mash and a few pale ales - very tasty. A very safe bet - didn't make it upstairs to the Abbey. more

awesome pub 6/24/2004

This is a very cool place to eat your dinner or sit in the vast bar. The entrees are inventive but a bit overpriced. Thogh that being said, the building is amazing, and you do pay a small fee for the view. There is a pool table and more bar space upstairs where they have bands play too. more

OK ... But not great!!!! 12/27/2002

It's been a while since I have been here, because my last visit left me disappointed. I went for happy hour and the atmosphere was decent, pool tables were open, and it was clean. But, I felt the beer was a little more expensive than it was worth. Happy hour prices were about $3 and went to $4 at 5:00. We were putting in our orders at 4:55 and the last person ordered at 5:01. They charged him $4 and everyone else $3. He asked for $3 but they wouldn't change it. I may go back in the future, but I am not in a rush. Pros: atmosphere, clean Cons: expensive, poor service, parking more

Great Place - OK Beer 11/26/2002

ABC is one of the best places in Harrisburg to go and have a few drinks, as in hard alcohol. The beer is ok, but after a few most people I've talked to are ready for a nice "Heiney" or Lager. Even if they would sell Troegs, that would better than forcing us to suck down their crap. The food is good, the pizza's are great! Pros: Atmosphere, Food, Pool Cons: Beer, Parking, Beer more

fine brews and people 6/2/2002

appalachian brewing company is a wonderful find. the people there are very friendly...and the beer...WOW!!!!! i have sampled the scottish ale, the susquehanna stout, and the lager. all three are exceptional. the ale is an example of what a good scottish style ale should be..smooth...nice finish. its a very drinkable product. the stout is exactly that, a very stout beverage. it has a very nice dark color, a wonderful cereal-malty nose, and a strong caramel coffee flavor. it will make you either stand right up..or fall down, depending on the number of glasses consumed. a must visit in harrisburg! Pros: excellent brews more
