Apex Brake & Muffler

My vehicle had one wiper arm that did not work, so I decided to take it to APEX because they had done some great work in the past eight years on my vehicles. I don't feel as if the business itself is so bad, but some of the mechanics are lost. They had to replace the wiper assembly, and when doing so and fixed, the wiper arms were coming off of the vehicle. They said that maybe it was a faulty part. I took the vehicle back, and it took them 3 plus hours to correct the issue, and it was still wrong. I just became frustrated and left. I spent three days and over eight hours over a period of 4 days waiting for faulty work that should have only taken a couple of hours. It may cost more to go to Firestone, but at least I get customer satisfaction for all the mony that I pay. I don't know if I will use them again! more

Ok. I usually will suggest Firestone for auto repairs, but not any more. I can't afford their prices. I recently had a problem with my car and I took it to Firestone for a pressure check. Found out my radiator was leaking. Costs to fix it?? $800. We don't have that kind of money. I called around, to a lot of places. Finally called a place called Apex. They did the entire job for $361. Oil changes are only $19.95 + tax. This will be our new go-to place when we need anything done on either vehicle. They're on Meridian, almost next door to Sonic. Pop in or call Andy. I've been taking my 2002 Jeep liberty in for the past 2 years and they always say something is wrong, i bought a "brand New" motor 2 years ago from them, i took my jeep into another shop because i thought they were scamming me, the person i took it to said the motor they put in WAS NOT brand new, which is what i paid for. i then called to ask where the motor was from and they said they will not tell me where they got it because it is non of my business? They made me buy parts for my engine i didn't even need, and now i need to pay over $5,000 for ANOTHER engine because they said it would work, when it didn't, if i bought the other engine from them, i would be well $10,000 into this Apex place, please, don't read any reviews you see, ***DONT EVEN THINK OF BRINGING YOUR VEHICLE IN HERE THEY WILL JUST SCAM YOU*** Because of them i am in risk of losing my job, and my house, because now i have no vehicle, and barley any money because they took it all from me.. IF YOU TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE THEY WILL SAY YOUR VEHICLE HAS PROBLEMS WITH IT, WHEN IT REALLY DOESNT, THEY ARE OUT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SCAM YOU, THEY ARE NOTHING BUT CONS. (p.s. I took my 97 vw jetta in to have a freeze plug replaced, not only did they replace the freeze plug they also found out where a vacume leak was coming from. I also knew prior to taking my car there something was seriously wrong because my car had been over reving. I had thought it was my transmission because I had taken my car to amco and they told me it was caused by a leak I had in my transmission and it needed to be pulled and resealed and it would cost a minimum of 700.00. Apex found that it was my clutch that was the problem and they took the time to explain to me what was happening so I could understand it. When they were replacing my clutch and had the transmission out they inspected my transmision and to my surprise there was no leaks and nothing wrong with my transmision. My car runs fantastic now and I couldn't be a happier customer. I have never recieved such amazing customer service from an auto place that I have take my car to then I did at Apex. I am very greatfull that Apex is here. They now have a life long customer and I would recommend anyone I know family and friends to go to Apex. They'll take care of you or sure without any hassel. The employees are very professional, knowledgable and actually know what they are talking about. Keep up the good work Apex Brake & Muffler. more

On Saturday afternoon my car started running rough and the check engine symbol on the dash came on. The nearest shop was Apex so I pulled in. The service bays were all full, the place was packed. I talked to the service person behind the counter and explained I had to get to Tacoma by 5:00 for an important appointment. No sooner than I signed my name on a service order, my car was pulled in back of the shop and a tech immediately started to scan the computer and diagnose the problem. The car was having problems with it's emission control system. The technician somehow cleaned the sensor and told me he didn't think I would need to replace it. I was in and out in less than an hour. The car runs great and I made it to my appointment in Tacoma. This shop is an honest to goodness repair shop where the techs actually know how to repair a car rather than just remove and replace the parts like so many other shops. I told them how grateful I was and they now have a new regular customer. more

Shop was great str8 up and honest no bs-ing I had a severe problem with my clutch and assumed the whole clutch needed repair (I know a good amount about cars and do many repairs and maintenance myself) they told me it was just the master cylinder and not the whole clutch roughly a $400 difference to my favor and they leave the repair options up to you without influence also have a good price on oil changes $20 more

I brought my Explorer into Apex to get the muffler exchanged. It was busy there, and i had my 80lb dog with me. They had me in and out in under an hour. I recommend anyone to go to Apex, they are fantastic! more
