Best Pastries In Town 10/1/2008

This is such a great place to go if you just want to grab a little bite and go. This is the second time that i've had the pleasure of coming to Ap-Petite. About 3 months ago, I was in town visiting family and decided to dropped in to pick up a few pastries for my mothers birthday. The service that the young blonde women behind the counter gave us was completely and utterly horrible. Just this past weekend I was in town again and happen to drive by. I was very surprised to see that they were open because it was a Sunday. I pulled into the Ralphs parking lot and walked inside to be greeted with a smiling new face. Before I even reached the counter I was surprised with a warm greeting from an wonderful African American women by the name of Mo'nique. She told me that she was the NEW manager and "boy" was I relieved. I will never forget her because that happens to be my mother's name. I was undecided about what pastries I wanted until, she offered me 2 different samples [ Nutella & Walnut] I was sold. I ended up leaving the bakery with 1lb of pastries and 6 sandwiches... I just want to say thanks to Mo'nique and hopefully, the next time i'm in town i'll be greeted with that same beautiful smile and witty sence of humor. You are a treasure to this place and I hope it doesn't go un-noticed? I en Pros: Parking In the rear, Nice sit down Area, Fast Service... Under new management Cons: No Cons more

A little something to tie you over... 7/14/2008

My boys love this place and so do I! A great place to go afterschool for a "snack" before heading home for homework and afterschool sports. Something small and tasty to tie them over before dinner. Sandwiches are small enough to eat before a big game or workout. We love the variety of sandwiches. It such a nice change to have a few sandwiches to eat instead of one big one like at the usual sandwiches places. The boy's favorites are the nutella sandwiches, egg salad and chicken salad. Mine are the pastrami, hungarian salami, vegetable and....all of them! Pastries again are small enough to have a nice variety. The prices are perfect at $2 a sandwich and $9.95 a pound for pasteries. When bringing them to a party or office setting it makes for a fun conversation piece to talk about which one is the favorite, which one did you try, etc. Also, nice to have plenty of parking. Pros: parking, clean, spacious Cons: parking in rear down one way street. May not know where to go to park in rear more

Best warm, fresh pastries and great sandwiches, finally a different idea! 6/2/2008

What a great European style bakery! It is not your traditional bakery with breads and big, stale pastries, but bite size warm pastries baked fresh through the day! There is at least 15 different varieties at any time, my favorite is the Nutella puff pastry. They're sold by the pound, all of them the same price. The sandwiches are open faced, so you get less bread, more stuff. They're all small too for only $2 each, around 12-15 different choices that they change out every day. And just because they're small it doesn't mean you'll stay hungry, you can always just get more. Pros: Food, parking, price more

Great new European bakery with unique bite size pastries and sandwiches! 6/2/2008

Great idea for the unique and original pastries and sandwiches! Unusual European selection with the wide variety of choices for every taste. Whether you like sweet or savory and salty - Ap-petite has gotten something everyone in your family would like. Better yet their bite size pastries allow you to try different kinds all at once for the convenient one price/per pound so you too can find your favorite. My favorite are the cheese and poppy seed pastries (POCHIs), while kids loved the Nuttella and Banana sandwiches. We also liked their open-faced sandwiches with great selection of European cold cuts and meats - once again nice change from your usual "turkey" sandwich at Subway. Pros: Delicious food, convenient portion size, unique and original European flavors more
