They added tip to bill for two people without consent! 10/7/2011

It was the worst dining experience. We purchased a dinning package from Travel Zoo, made reservation for Friday 10/07/11 and made the worst dining experience ever. It was the most rediculous experience in tipping aspect, as for two people dining, Waiter added $23 to the bill for Gratuity and shocked us at bill time. We asked how comes Gratuity was not left to customer to be decided upon and paid as per service received and rude waiter said that his manager advised them to add it without customer consent to the bill. When asked to talk to Manager, simply was told that manager was not available and a business card of Lyle Koch was given to us. I never know the resturant will decide if how much tip should be mandatory given for two people dining and is the first expeirence of it. We always pay good tips and this is the first time the waiter dictated us to pay what resturant wish and billed us as per manager's wish, when you can not even ask for manager! I paid in full as they wished, but will never try that restuarant and feel humiliated by them. Absolutely rediculous and not accpetable at all. more

Nice Portions 6/14/2011

This place is good. Some of the things I like is the good service, big portions, the Fettuccine has large portions of meat and the bread is good. The only thing that wasn't appealing was the Brulee which wasn't that good. Overall, it was a nice time and a OK place to go. more

Great dining spot 10/22/2007

Why wait an hour or more to eat at Santana Row, Antonella's was great food, service and value. The place is thriving with local Rose garden neightbors. The Veal Picatta and Lasagna was the best I have ever had. You must try their calamari, simply the best. The staff is very friendly and the owner is always their to greet you and assist. Pros: great food and great value, big portions Cons: parking, but lots across the street in the school more

A Great Taste of Italy 4/9/2006

Antonella is one of those great neighborhood Italian restaurants that you only know about from word of mouth and that is how I stumbled across it. Most of the items taste fresh and all of their sauces are very rich as they add lots of creme and butter to it. Their gnocchi and the calamari are some of the best in the area. The price range from $5-$10 for Salads and Appetizers, Pasta Dishes between $12-$16, and Entrees about $14-$20. They give out good portion sizes and I have made a meal for two out of splitting just the calamari, gnocchi, and brochette. The real negative about this spot is that parking is horrible but don't let the lack of parking prevent you from coming to this great little place. Pros: Good Sauces, Portion Size, Great Taste Cons: Parking more

GREAT FOOD 3/2/2006

THIS PLACE IS A GEM. THE FOOD IS SO GOOD AND THE SERVICE WAS FRIENDLY. I RECOMMEND THE CHICKEN MARSALA AND PASTA. THE KIDS LOVED THE PIZZA. I HAVE RETURNED SEVERAL TIMES AND IT IS ALWAYS WORTH IT. ALSO, THEY ARE ALWAYS OPEN. Pros: NO RESERAVATION NEED Cons: SMALL PARK LOT more

EXCELLENT EVERY TIME 3/1/2006

Not just italian, but OUTSTANDING italian. Cozy atmosphere and owner is ALWAYS helping on dining room floor. I have been there many times and the place accommodates anywhere from table of 2 to party of 50. The food is always consistent fresh and excellent. They have a balanced menu with selections for anyone and all items are delicious and hearty...pastas, salmon, chicken, brushetta, calamari-it is all good! Pros: fresh food, super friendly, prompt service Cons: parking more

Very friendly service, most dishes great 11/2/2003

I made a reservation for 18 people for a friend's birthday here with no problems (ie no minimum charge per person or paying for people who don't show like many restaurants). Several people I spoke to on the phone to make and change the reservations were extremely friendly and helpful as were the wait staff. The appetizers - mussels, clams, calimari - were excellent. Spaghetti and meatballs were great, veal was ok, the lasagna wasn't too good though. Too salty and lacking substance (like meat and veggies). But the portions were filling and bread was nice and fresh. Oh and they brought a nice chocolate souffle for the bday girl and the manager came out on several occasions to chat with us and make sure we were happy. Overall a great experience! Pros: great prices , sizable portions, excellent service Cons: only beer & wine more

Excellent!! 10/21/2003

I thought Antonella's was a wonderful place to dine. The service was fabulous and friendly, we even met the owner. The food quality was excellent. Soup of the day was too die for and the special Swordfish was well- prepared and very flavorful! Definitely check it out. more

A winner! 1/2/2003

We've been twice and they have pleased us. Make a reservation! The bruschetta is yummy, the soups good but the salads were weak - rather ordinary. The pasta is excellent and our entree's were properly prepared, well sauced and did not all taste the same (unlike some restaurants I could name). The pizza was good. The portions were not overwhelming which we enjoyed. The service was good, we got a bad glass of wine and it was whisked away and replaced from a new bottle with many apologies, no questions on our opinion/taste, etc. It is small but their patio is fine, even in winter. Don't sit by the restrooms. Parking is limited but there is an empty lot at the school across the street. We are happy to have a good restaurant back in the neighborhood. Pros: Good food, Good service, Good value Cons: Crowded more

Bella! 12/31/2002
