I saw a deal on Living Social for the 2.5 hours dinner cruise and I thought this would be perfect for my mom and dad's birthday gift. I booked the Fort Lauderdale dinner cruise for a Sunday and then we were off.
When we arrived, we stood in line to check in and were given our chips for our table, drink tab, and photos. We walked toward the boat and our ""professional"" photos were taken. We then walked in and placed our chips on the table where we would like to sit and told that our place would be reserved and we could walk upstairs for appetizers and drinks.
When we got up stairs, it was standing room only as the few places to sit were already full. They served salad, shrimp, crackers, slices of turkey, and some chicken wrap things. It was a task in itself to try to stand up, hold your plate, and peel shrimp to eat. We all found ourselves holding eat others plate just so we could enjoy the appetizers. We definitely thought there should be more places to sit upstairs.
The DJ which was singing was okay at best. He sang with all the songs and played the same songs again and again. We heard ""Besame Mucho"" three times. Then to make matters worse, the DJ would start smoking cigarettes and the entire back of the ship had to smell his smoke. Once he lit the cigarette, our party had to go back inside so we didn't have to smell it.
We went downstairs to eat our dinner and were looking for the chips we placed and we were moved! So much for picking where you want to sit. The food menu had a good assortment of entr
